The Source is the heart of all things, of all appearances, of all forms that soon deform themselves, to be transformed into new forms, which soon will be deformed too, but the heart, blind to all, remains as the Source. Silence is the Source of the sound, of the music, of the whisper, of the loud speak! All this is changing, but not the Silence! The Silence remains silent!~M. Gualberto ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here we are before this silence ...the finding of this Silence. Truth is what we are, not what with which we identify ourselves in this illusory experience, this dual experience - "I and the world."So, the relationship between consciousness - that is what perceives - and what is perceived, in fact, is an illusion. The body, the mind and the world, as any experience, appear in this Consciousness and they are not separate from It. There is no separation. ~M. Event for the International Day For Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, under the theme "More Than Mines".
This day aims to raise awareness about landmines and progress toward their eradication, and is a day that reminds us of the devastating effects of landmines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW). The annual commemoration also provides an opportunity to renew our commitment to a world free from the threat of mines and other remnants of war.
The theme for 2015 is “More than Mines”, signifying that mine action includes activities to address an increasingly wide range of explosive hazards, weapons and ammunition, risk education, and victim assistance. Mine action makes it possible for peacekeepers to carry out patrols, for humanitarian agencies to deliver assistance, and for ordinary citizens to live without the fear that a single misstep could cost them their lives.
Held at the Nyakuron Cultural Center in Juba, the South Sudan event was organized by the National Mine Action Authority in partnership with UNMAS and mine action organizations.
Pictured here, students and others gather at the Dr. John Garang Mausoleum for a march to the Nyakuron Cultural Center.

Tim and I heard of this test on NPR that was done on infants. If you place a red dot on a child's nose and the put them in front of the mirror they will do one of two things: either touch the red dot on the mirror, or try to wipe the red dot off of their own face. If they do the former, they think their reflection is a different person. If they do the latter, they know they exist as a person. Audrey passed the test. She knows she is her own person. It was truly a cool experiment! You should try it!
