World Autism Awareness Day Melbourne walk and balloon release. 1 April 2012, A 1.2km walk along the Yarra River finishing at Birrarung Marr where the balloons were released. Declan Sykes, X Factor contestant provided entertainment after the walk.

Inspired by their PDF advocacy training, they are using the adventure as a way to increase awareness of and support for PD research. Armed with posters and educational materials, they are meeting up with other individuals along the route to share their message. Billboard by the Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels, Educational Institutions, Hospitals and Allied Workers (KUDHEIHA) on awareness creation for domestic workers' and social protection.
In the meantime, 30 domestic workers participated in the session of social protection to learn more about their rights.

In support of the 2nd Annual World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), Yoko Ono is auctioning off her original mural titled PROMISE. The piece will be revealed April 2 at the United Nations by Chilean Ambassador to the Heraldo Muñoz and the Chilean Mission and supported by Autism Speaks, the world's largest autism science and advocacy organization. After the presentation of PROMISE, the piece will be taken down and each jigsaw piece will be auctioned off individually.
PROMISE was originally designed by Ono and inspired by the work of Autism Speaks and Autism World Awareness Day. Ono is a prolific artist, whose talent and influence has spanned decades. This year, she was honored with the Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement. Each piece will be personally signed by Ono.
Terms: Includes: one puzzle piece (example shown above, please note all pieces vary) from the PROMISE mural by Yoko Ono. The weight of each piece will vary, as there is quite a bit of difference in the shapes and areas of the pieces. The material is 1" thick acrylic, which has a weight of 6.16 lbs / square foot. Most of the pieces should weigh less than 6 lbs.
The PROMISE mural by Yoko Ono will weight about 215-220 pounds and the base will be about 75 pounds. The whole work of art should weigh no more than 300 pounds. It will be approximately 5 feet wide by 7 feet tall and will be comprised of 67 puzzle pieces. A light installation is to be set up behind the piece so light will play a part in the viewing of the mural. Please note: additional shipping fees and/or custom fees may apply based on the location of the winner.
