i have a habit of attempting to define myself.
but every word i pick feels like its suffocating me.
i've become ridiculously self aware.
i'm almost entirely convinced its the reason i can't sleep.
(among other things.)
Don't misunderstand me more than half of those, despite their connotations, are positive to me. They're all self assigned.
I feel if i am to evolve as a productive member of this human existence i must be aware of who i am and what i'm doing.
No one will ever be more honest than I will be to myself.
Acknowledgment and awareness are the only way to get anything done anyway.
i have awful handwriting, i'll be happy to tell you what any of them say if you're curious and can't read it.

Close the mills down! It's 2008, stop being stupid and greedy!
I attended Puppy Mill Awareness day on Sept. 20th in Intercourse, PA...Amish land. Finally the world will know "Pennsylvania's dirty little secret." Awareness Day is almost 5 years old and the only thing that has changed for the mill dogs are the names of the people who are supposed to be protecting them.
Dog Law HB-2525 just needs to pass the Senate...keep your paws crossed!
I yelled at alotta Amish people today and they deserved it! That's right!
Rescue Ink from New York attended the event and they helped with the walk thru downtown touristy Intercourse. Kept everyone in check..thanks, dudes, you guys RAWK! www.rescueink.org/#HidePreloader
We had a protest march thru MAJOR tourist areas...I'm talking MAJOR and everyone was very respectful and we had alot of support! It was HUGE and what really made me thankful was that there were many young people there lending their vocal cords to our cause! I met some amazing people. I wish we could rule the world!

I've been trying to come up with a design for an MS awareness bracelet for a while, so here's my first stab at it. I was diagnosed with MS on July 10, 2007 after experiencing symptoms since that April. I have come a loooong way in being able to deal with the symptoms (tingly numbness, reduced vision in one eye, hot spots) and the treatment (daily shots of Copaxone/placebo and weekly shots of Avonex/placebo - I'm in a clinical trial, so I'm either receiving both meds or one med and a placebo). In my little bit of research, I (think I) have discovered that the MS awareness ribbon is silver...or a prism color that has some iridescence...or pearl-colored. Just proof that the disorder isn't well-known or understood. So, I picked a color and decided on a semi-precious stone to use. I chose labrodorite. Really, the color doesn't matter that much to me. I could've picked red coral or blue lace agate, amethyst or hematite. The great thing is that I'm going to take a percentage of the proceeds from the sales of these bracelets and donate them to the National MS Society. This prototype went to my friend, Christina, for her birthday. She doesn't have MS, just exquisite taste in jewelry (and friends, lol!). My friends have been quite supportive while I've grappled with the diagnosis, so this was, in a way, a tribute to that. And besides, I can be humble with the best of them, but I just found this to be a beautiful birthday gift, regardless of the cause behind it.
The Annual Halls Mill Sorghum Squeeze festival was held on Saturday, October 1, 2011. Sweet sorghum cane grown on Paschal Road, near Halls Mill, in Bedford County, Tennessee, is squeezed for its juice on a mule-driven press which dates to the 1800’s. The juice is then reduced over a wood fire to a sweet syrup, called sorghum. The all day event is held on the old Michael Crowell (1826-1906) farm that was built long before the Civil War days. The old house is in need of direct attention but serves well, in its present state, for a look back into time. There was music, the Mid-State Cloggers, food, arts and crafts, Watkins Products for sale, a tour of the old home, old farm equipments and just about any other thing a person would want to see at this type of festival.

Please be aware... I am no stamp expert. Posted titles here are either what I was told when acquiring these or are from a simple Google search. I make no claim as to them being 100% accurate but I make an effort to be as factual as I am able when posting. There may well be some duplication of type or variety, but I try not to double post any single items. My feeble brain may slip on that from time to time. These are all from my semi worthless collection from over the years. Little to no value exists in most (if not all) of them. They are just a hobby.
