Golden trees at Dural. The Hills District of Sydney.
At 460 Galston Road, Dural.
On the border with Galston.
Dural and Galston are two semi-rural suburbs in north-western Sydney. My home is nearby to here.
And here, to celebrate Autumn in the Hills District of Sydney, is Neil Young with 'Heart of Gold':

"Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings."
-William Arthur Ward
Now that the actual days of Thanksgiving Weekend are done, we need to continue to find things to be grateful for.

We’d almost forgotten what the sun looked like, but it put in a brief appearance today, a good opportunity for a walk to the reservoir to see how the water levels are doing. This time 12 months ago this body of water was almost non existent, today it’s reached it’s full capacity and the excess water is cascading over the dam overflow behind me.
The sun was quite low, but it just managed to shine enough to bring out the colours of the remaining leaves, which will no doubt be gone in a few days, following the next onslaught of wind, rain and I believe snow.
Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.
A Liquidambar tree at Dural (near Galston) in the Hills District of Sydney. Located in a garden setting along Galston Road, near the corner of Carters Road, Dural.
Liquidambars, aka Sweetgum, Redgum, Satin-Walnut, or American Storax, are native to North America, but have colonised most of the Hills District of Sydney and are now the predominant Autumn tree across north-western Sydney.
Photographed on Monday of this week: Monday 6th May, 2024.

I was on my way to a place where I usually go to photograph wildlife, and suddenly I saw this view, that immediately catched my eye.
The colors were amazing!
This place definetely deserved a picture.....
WATERFALL🌞
Tall or small I like them all😍
I've seen this one more than once, but it still stays a beauty. During autumn it is not that full, but that doesn't matter at all.
No tripod with me. So a normal one this time🌞
So I have delved deep into the abyss of the forest to bring you the secret world of Autumn.
And here is Justin Hayward with his haunting song: 'Forever Autumn':

the woodland track, in it's autumnal colours, leading down of meikleholm hill. just before it meets the becks road. langholm, dumfriesshire, scotland.
From outside the Melbourne Town Hall up the almost empty Swanston Street n a drizzly misty wintry afternoon
Wind-driven rain slashes against the windows, the ocean is dark pewter gray and it's so dim out of doors you almost need a flashlight at 3:30 p.m. - the heart's eye returns to the lovely moment when I turned the corner and first beheld this glorious tree.
WATERFALL🌞
Tall or small I like them all😍
Hydnefossen during autumn is most of the time not that full of water, but after a lot of rain there was enough for a beautiful autumn waterfall view😍
Hydnefossen is the highest waterfall in the region of Buskerud and is located 10 kilometer north east from the town Hemsedal🌞

Thanks for having a look! All faves and comments are highly appreciated!
Autumn is here also in PA, only this time has come in a very mild way. The days are still warm, not a lot or rain yet, but the nights are cooler and very pleasant again. There are still things to do around the house, yes the leaves have started to fall gradually, so besides to keep the grass short I have to keep and eye on them too. It really was a busy summer and I have to say that it went really fast, but I think I pretty much accomplished my projects, but I'm sure I will come up last minute with something!
I took my cameras today and decided to get lost somewhere to enjoy what is left of the good weather, and as always I was really glad I did. Nature is still very awake, squirrels all over the place as well as chipmunks that were making their funny squeaky noise as I got closer to them or after they saw me or heard the crunching noise of the leaves beneath my feet.
Take a look at the left and lower corner of the photo, there is something very interesting...
it feels and looks like it is going to be another Indian summer...

Photography is my passion, and nature photography is my favorite.
I have been in Explore for more that a hundred times, and it is an awesome experience to have your photos showcased in such a special way.
I'm in many groups, and I only add my photos to them if they are not private.
I thank your for coming today, for leaving a comment, and make a favorite of yours this photo, (if that is the case) thanks again!
The best part of this forum is the contacts and friends that I have made over the years, that have the same passion for this art that is called photography!

Painted electric box in the local park in our local park most of the electric boxes are painted by talented painters and bring joy to all the people. I like this one very much, because it fits perfectly with the pond behind it.

AUTUMN🍁
When there is no sun I always wish for beautiful clouds. At this place these clouds fitted perfectly with this autumn landscape🍁
Autumn is my favorite season to go to Norway. All those wonderful colors. I have to stop a lot🌞
The Oak is one of the last trees to drop its leaves as the Winter months approach. This year they seem to be more colourful than ever!

Staying in Luster at a cabin with a balcony view on Feigefossen was a memorable view at 10:22🌞
I never know what to expect at this spot. Some years it is not much more than a mud hole, other years it is a beautiful woodland pond ringed in autumn color.

This is a little one at Turtagrø at the Sognefjellveien at sunset. Walking around without my tripod I shot this one with my olympus. After that walk I had made some with my tripod and a longer exposure. See below🌞

A Chinese Quince tree displaying its Autumn colours at the Tree Frog Pond Reserve, North Kellyville, in north-western Sydney - June 2020.
The Tree Frog Pond Reserve is an oasis of ponds, trees, bushland, wetlands and birds, in the midst of Sydney's north-western urban sprawl - at North Kellyville!
The Google location finder (on the right) puts this photograph in Beaumont Hills - which is not correct - hey google!!
AUTUMN🍁
Over the years I've seen 18 stav churches. They are all beautiful to see. This one at Lom I saw several times. Also in 2024, but not like this anymore. Those trees are almost all gone. Only a few at the right are still there🍁
But I always can look back at the memories I have left of this one🌞
I have so many more autumn pictures, but after this I will show you a few of the stavchurches I saw.
So my next series is STAVE CHURCH🇳🇴
