I took this as a quick celebration of the release of the latest and last in Rocksteady's 'Arkham' series, Arkham Knight. The snow effect was inspired by the snowy setting of Arkham Origins.

Hope you enjoyed!

His villainous roles, among others, are simply legendary, and will live on for generations to come. Farewell to a fantastic man and brilliant actor.

In the dim glow of the workshop, where the scent of oil and wood shavings lingered in the air, the clockmaker meticulously assembled his creation, each piece clicking into place like a heartbeat. The clockwork Pinocchio, crafted from polished brass, sat on the workbench, awaiting his moment of awakening. The clockmaker's heart raced as he adjusted the boy's intricate mechanisms, envisioning not just an automaton, but a friend to share in the adventure of life. As he wound the delicate spring at Pinocchio's core, he whispered a quiet wish for companionship, hoping that this mechanical wonder would one day leap from the shadows of solitude into the vibrant tapestry of the world outside—a world where dreams danced on the wind, and laughter echoed in the streets, where together they would forge stories of wonder beneath the ever-watchful stars.

Just a grim, moody shot of the Batman minifig that I picked up at BFVA the other day.

The glowing eyes were inspired by the Batman v. Superman teaser shown at SDCC.

I had a great time at BFVA on Saturday! It was great to finally meet some of you there.

Hope you enjoyed!

"A once great city where the prosperous residents were served by the miraculous mechanical automatons. The people have long since

disappeared, but the automatons remained and still take care of the crumbling stone walls, abandoned halls and rusty fences."

Inspired by this scene from Guardians of the Galaxy.

I started working on this as soon as I got home from seeing the film at a theater, but Tyler beat me to it with his fantastic recreation. I'm relatively happy with mine, but I think it would be better with some ball joints and a better-shaped head.

Hope you enjoyed!

This afternoon, I logged onto Flickr to find that the (in my opinion) hideous new layout had been forced upon us all. Why?!?!?!? Flickr, do you want us to dislike the website and it's layout? The new version doesn't allow for notes, which I loved and were an essential part of the Flickr LEGO Community! I miss reading crazy chains of notes speculating the plots of evil LEGO frogs, and embedding funny .gifs in my comments. I sincerely hope that an opt-out option is made available at some point.

Hope you enjoyed the photo!

Here's a pretty artsy shot of R2-Q5 Astromech droid. R2-series astromech droid is produced by Industrial Automaton (and in this case by Lego).

Everything is all in-camera.

Just playing around with my lamp. This shot was originally going to be way brighter, but I accidentally changed the shutter speed at the last moment and liked the dim result.

Hope you enjoy!

With an expanded boiler capacity and one of the first quantum clocks within it's ticking brain, the Mk IV was to prove a revolution in automaton design.

It's been a while since I last uploaded - almost 4 months, in fact. So sorry for the lack of photos of late, I've been caught up with loads of schoolwork. I will continue to try to upload as much as possible, but it may still take a while before I do so again.

Hope you enjoyed the photo! :)

Now With Cooler Lighting and Accessories!

Neurologically Operated Refrigerated Automaton, or N.O.R.A. was meant to be Victor's solution to both preserving his beloved wife, and allowing her to continue to function in the world while he could focus on finding her a cure. Only the years as a human snow cone and constant battles Batman have not been kind to Nora. While technically still alive, her body and mind have suffered extensive tissue damage, and she can no longer control N.O.R.A. Instead Victor has taken over the controls. Now outfitted with a mammoth freeze cannon, hurling pissed off polar bears, and a doomsday failsafe that will trigger a cataclysmic nuclear winter, N.O.R.A. Will become the vehicle of Victor's ultimate revenge against Batman and a world whose heart has grown cold.

Updated my entry for FBTB's Mech Madness 2012 with some cooler lighting and added polar bear cages

based this one on mechanical automatons from the 18 & 19th century....state of the art in their day...laughing policeman for example or clowns in arcades on the seafront.....I've collected a few of them...never alone with a laughing policeman & never corrupt...just wind them up

The Doll Museum in the Rocca of Angera was founded in 1988 by the wish of Princess Bona Borromeo Arese, and displays over a thousand dolls made between the 18th century and the present day.

The dolls, which are displayed inside furnished dolls’ houses and miniature shops, are made of all kinds of material, including wood, wax, papier-mâché, china and cloth.

In addition to the wealth of period and contemporary dolls on display, which places the Museum among the most important in Europe in this sector, there is also a section devoted to toys from non-European cultures as well as a collection of 19th century French and German automatons from the collection of the Petit Musée du Costume of Tours.

Adventures in focus stacking with my custom fantasy minifigs.

A short stack 😆

personalmente trovo abbastanza inquietanti i visi di queste bambole di porcellana

This is another commissioned photo for Forrestfire101. More photos will be posted soon.

I'm pretty pleased with the way that this shot came out! It's my favorite scene from the book.

Hope you enjoyed!

Immediately after I woke up on August 1st, I dashed to the computer to order an Exo-Suit. I managed to do so before they sold out, and was not disappointed with the set in the slightest.

This was just sort of an experiment with eerie lighting. I'm pretty pleased with the result.

I apologize for the lack of uploads lately! I've started school, so expect a lower quantity of photos for the next few months.

Hope you enjoyed!

There's something cute about a robot that wears an earring, even if it doesn't have ears. Seen at Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI).

My new cover photo! This is a revamp of this photo. I still think Legolas is a bit too bright, so I'll probably replace it later.

As you may have guessed, I love backlighting and silhouettes. I based this pic off of this promotional pic for The Fellowship of the Ring.

Hope you enjoyed!
