SANCTUM hosted an amazing Saturday afternoon with Night Attack for an extended DJ set. Three hours of deep electronic tunes at the beautiful and atmospheric grotto bar, styled ‘The Night Cave’ for this special event.
Remember, SANCTUM is open for events and rare times throughout the year for the public to wander through. Make sure you take the time to see the beauty that this place holds.

This fella was definitely acting like Pond Boss, intimidating the Buffleheads, and then, when he spotted me, swimming right at me as if to chase me off, too....
Here is my entry for round 3 of the “MOC Olympics” contest. In this round we have to build a ship or scene of the upcoming STAR WARS Movie “Rouge One”. A base of 48 x 48 was the limit.
As you can see I decided to build a “beach” scene on Scarif. Because of the limited space and time I build it in Microfighter-Scale. Therefore I designed two completely new Microfighter, the Tie-Striker and the U-Wing. The AT-ACTs are modifications of the original AT-AT Microfighters.

This juvenile Bald Eagle has attracted the attention of this Crow. Lots of Bald Eagles around the Matsqui Flats this week. Should they not be sitting on nests?
Photo: On 24 February 2023, the first anniversary of the Russian attack on Ukraine, a pro-government demonstration was held in Berlin in favour of supplying arms to Ukraine and admitting the country to NATO, attended by 5,000 people.
At the same place, one day later, a large peace demonstration with 50,000 participants for negotiations and a ceasefire took place. This demonstration and the online manifesto "Manifesto for Peace" were initiated by the left-wing politician Sarah Wagenknecht and the feminist Alice Schwarzer.
The majority of Germans are against the delivery of heavy weapons to Ukraine and for peace negotiations.

Here we have a silent attack on a Helghast trooper.
On a boring afternoon my daughter showed me how to catch a frog (to be instantly released again, unharmed) by wiggling a dried flower stem in a tempting way. When they pounce, you reel them in close enough to gently pick them up.

Massive Attack played at the Roseland Ballroom, October 2006. First time the band toured here in a decade.
So this was also part of the color vs monochrome layout with Eurobricks at Brickworld. The hill with Maurice Mouse's house is repurposed from the top of my Fabuland village hill that I've displayed before, but the cottage on top is new. The monochrome creature is sucking the color out of it.

We were with some friends at the garden today when we saw this Red-tailed Hawk perched in an evergreen along with a dozen blackbirds (Brewer's Blackbird, I think). They squawked at the hawk and attacked it incessantly. The surprising thing is it seemed to ignore the attacks for the most part - even when they collided with it. I stood on a picnic table to get this, the hawk seemed equally unconcerned that I was almost at eye-level with it.
