Caval 'd Brons, Piazza San Carlo, Torino (TO), Piemonte, Italia
The Equestrian monument of Emmanuel Philibert rises in the center of the Piazza San Carlo in central Turin, region of Piedmont, Italy.
The monument was completed (1838) in Paris by Carlo Marochetti.
The monument was erected by King Charles Albert of Savoy, to commemorate the military prowess of one of an ancestor from his dynasty, Emmanuel Philibert, Duke of Savoy. In the statue, the armored duke with a feathered helmet, astride a prancing horse, sheathes his sword, to signify the military feats he competed.

What must it have been in the era when Priories and Abbeys were attacked in Henry V111 and others getting rid of religious buildings. Mostly it meant fire
a little toad from a fish base . an all closed model shape with mc ... the design is very simple , there is no toes but I wanted to focuse on the togue and the eyes...
fold in one uncut 25/25cm square of tissue paper and duo momigami paper (from origamishop) .
I'm finally starting to go through some of the images I took last year.
I got the chance to work with actual people who were willing to model for some of my shots :D
Most of my work was film based, once I figure out how to wrangle the shots onto a computer I'll post them, but for now i'm going to spend some time getting the digital shots up.

Back Story ..............
.
Today started out fairly normal, packed all the goodies for the dogs an took off.Daylight had just appeared with slices of pink on the horizon.
MS2 and LBB were over come with joy when they heard me pull in.
Did the regular routine of feeding, watering grooming and playing around.
Nothing unusual as we three went about our business having big fun..;-)
It was now time for me to slide on over to feed Leroy, Tuff Guy and his GF.
Their feed bags were both rolled up and placed into one bigger bag that was then rolled tightly and tucked high up under my arm, seemed safe !
Wandered on out the gate with MS2 walking next to me which is not any different from any other time. She always stop's about 5 or 6 meters outside the gate and waits for my return. All is going as planned.
It's around 100+meters to where Leroy waits for his breakfast so I'm just cruising along at a medium pace listening to all the monkeys and tourists off in another direction.
Now this is were everything changes fast and I mean real fast.........
"Bang ! ", I'm hit hard from behind, blindsided by a big ass male monkey that must have sprung from a tree I had just walked past.
His head is even with mine so he hit me high and hard ! Just as fast he grabs the food bag that was securely stashed up under my arm and is off and running.
Now I won't repeat the first words that left my lips but they were yelled at a very loud volume as I'm right on his tail in hot pursuit !
My bird legs are stretching way out taking some long strides in an attempt to grab the monkey an recover the feed bag.Out of nowhere MS2 passes me like I'm standing still. She reaches the monkey just as he races up a small tree trying desperately to save his own neck while still in position of the bag.
Monkeys screaming, I'm screaming and dogs are barking as all hell is about to break loose. Glanced over to my right maybe 40-50 meters away there was 40 or 50 tourists starting to turn and document this whole event taking place before their eyes. Most of them all have a camera of some kind. The monkey in the tree is screaming and tearing at the plastic allowing some rice to now shower down upon us. So here comes another 40 or 50 monkeys that have no problem fighting me and each other over the food.Along with the monkeys Tuff Guy and GF come charging in too.And guess who shows up from the other direction ? That's right, Leroy ..;-)
MS2 is trying to protect me from the monkeys.
Girl Friend is trying to attack MS2 out of jealousy.
Tuff Guy is trying to attack Leroy out of hatred.
Leroy is trying to attack the monkeys just for sport.
The monkeys and myself are in the middle of this !
" So what to do now" you ask ? Easy Deal !
Closest monkey to me caught a foot under his chin sending him backwards.
Went down on one knee pulling MS2 in close while scooping up a hand full of gravel which was sent out repeatedly in all directions. Called the good ol "spray an pray" technique. Right at that moment I see one bag drop from up in the tree, one long reach and Leroys food was now in my possession. Sent another volley of gravel straight up at the monkey which forced him to jump to the ground running for his life with torn food bag in his hand, 40 or 50 monkeys an two dogs right behind him. After all that he dropped the bag an ran up another tree leaving the other monkeys to fight over what was left with Tuff Guy and GF !
At this point things start getting a little strange ........
With Leroys food bag in hand and MS2 tucked in close to my leg I glance back at the tourists....The 40 or 50 had now doubled in number and seems as if they all had cameras in their hands, pointing at me ! "So what t do now " you ask ?..
Easy Deal.. I removed my hat an took a bow, waved to the crowd then went an fed Leroy ..;-)
Mr Leroy consumed his breakfast in breakneck speed an then came over to join MS2 and myself. If you remember back in this jungle dog saga, well over a year ago Leroy got himself into some big trouble. When MS2 was no bigger than LBB he had bit her on the head. For that MS1 and her BF kicked his ass badly plus he was banished from the Palace for life !
Well Leroy being a silly boy came up to MS2 all apologetic like as if saying "I'm Sorry" . MS2 gave him a little lick on his nose, they played a little bit an all was forgiven.
At this point MS2 and I headed to her Palace to check on LBB, she was just fine.
.
One thing I want to mention, MS2 has never been over to this area before in her life.
Maybe she'll return to play with Leroy and maybe not, that's totally up to her. Maybe
she came over here just to save my narrow ass from the aggressive monkeys ?
Either way today MS2 was a Hero in my eyes ....;-)

ABS Round 2.8 - Jurassic Salamander Attacks
My fifth entry for the competition, No offence intended to Salamanders..
I just missed the shark eating a piece of tuna, but you can still see aggressive posture and a hint of the tuna in her gullet. It also has an interesting combination of motion blur on the body, but the teeth are perfectly sharp (in more ways than one). I also like the sun rays and the rainbow on the body.
I had been observing this young male Red-tailed hawk perched in a Torrey Pine tree for about an hour when he suddenly decided to launch an attack a squirrel in the undergrowth below the tree.
I noticed the hawk had blood on his talons and later found out from another photographer (who had been in the area earlier) that the hawk had captured a squirrel that morning, but it had gotten away from him. When I took this shot, it was obvious the hawk was intent on recapturing his lost meal.
... a spider ;-)
Down at the lake the other day, I was lucky enough to catch Bastian in "attack mode". Its not that often it happens and even more seldom that I have my camera ready when it happens :-)

For reasons unknown to us, Nex and Stringer would never see another release after 2012, despite two full waves of sets they could easily have been integrated into. With Bulk growing increasingly orange and Stringer’s lack of unified color scheme, my belief is that Nex and Stringer underperformed in BREAKOUT as the two cheaper sets of the second wave and were cut from the lineup for the remainder of Hero Factory’s run.
Until today…
With a helmet commissioned from @galva_nize_ I present BRAIN ATTACK Nex. He is of the same height class as Stormer and Surge and is equipped with an Energy Sword for melee combat and a shoulder mounted missile launcher (inspired by @ems_mocs) to fend off the evil Brains invading Makuhero City and the galaxy beyond.
I have taken great lengths to keep the design language of the other BRAIN ATTACK sets:
- Melee weapons
- Silver or Gunmetal secondary color
- Transparent armor piece
- Hero Core Clamp and Visor
This build also emulates the arm seen on his 2.0 form, only this time in silver! The shoulder addon is a bootleg part.
Building this MOC is honestly a dream come true for me. I’m glad I can finally give Nex the form he deserves.
Agent Chase is about to pull the good old tow cable trick and send Dr. Inferno into an unforgettable "trip". To the scrapyard, surely.
Based on 8970 Robo Attack from the Agents theme, released in 2009.
-> Comparison
This set was released almost ten years ago, but the fun doesn't end here. In the past couple years we've been graced with some remarkable parts that you can see in this build. They're great for small scale details:
1x1 round plate with handle on bottom
1x1 round tile with bar on top
For the 2012 MocOlympics. I unfortunately didn't advance but oh well :) You guys won't see the part of the moc with the actual "attack from below" on flickr but check it out on mocpages!
Tigger attacking my finger as I take her picture - after all, what other reason could I have for putting my finger so close to her if not to play with?
1/52: New
I don't know what to do about the stupid flickr sharpening :(. Makes me want to strangle somebody.
Oh well. The first theme of this year is "new". I was thinking about what to do for a while and in the end I decided to try and somehow depict what happens after Christmas holidays. At least in the western hemisphere. It is kind of scary how right after the, initially religious, tradition that we've managed to turn into a merciless hunt for gifts, all the stores begin the new year with massive sales and people are actually willing to spend their free time greedily hoarding more useless shit. Mayan prophecy or not, we're doomed.
Of course the photo doesn't look anything like what I imagined but at least I made a spectacular show for all the neighbours - dragging a chair to the field and standing there in the wind and drizzle, holding the dresses out like a maniac. (Actually, hehe, that would be my brother, with a cast on his hand to make things more ridiculous. It was really lovely of him to come out and help me :).
And yay, I actually did the theme! :)

We also visited the World Wetland Trust on Saturday which is across the road from Swanbourne Lake. This red breasted goose took umbrage to me being on his path and decided to let me know by 'attacking' my boots.
Two more in the comments below
It took me 2.5 rounds of the Ridgefield auto-route and finally spotted the pair of Bald Eagles. Here are six shots of one of them on 1/15/12 in the field between posts 10 and 11. It is interesting to see the position of the legs in each succeeding shot.
