In the year 858 AD the Vikings, with a fleet of more than 60 ships commanded by Hastings and Björn Jaernside, son of the legendary Ragnar Lodbrog, went around the Iberian peninsula, reached the village of Orihuela in eastern Spain and conquered its castle. At that historical moment most of the peninsula was dominated by Muslims who saw with disbelief the arrival of these northern warriors.
Based on this historical moment The Brickstons along with several friends of the LUG ALE built this diorama of the Vikings reaching a village in the south-east of Spain. The diorama was presented at the ALEBricks event held on June 2nd and 3rd, 2018.
The Brickstons Group: Alfonso Abeger (FonsoSac), Pepi Blas, Julio César Cedena, Domingo Hidalgo, Luis López, Emiliano Martínez (Legófito), Victor Martínez (Loko / Nouvilas) and their friends: César Ivan Acero, Luismi Bartolomé, Juan Manuel Boillos, Antonio J. Fernández (Lord Jerome), David Horcajada y David Valderrama have taken part in the diorama.

En el año 858 d.C. los vikingos con una flota de más de 60 barcos al mando de Hastings y Björn Jaernside, hijo del legendario Ragnar Lodbrog, rodearon la península Ibérica, llegaron hasta la población de Orihuela en el este de España y tomaron su castillo. En ese momento histórico la mayor parte de la península estaba dominada por los musulmanes que veían con incredulidad la llegada de estos guerreros del norte.
Basándose este momento histórico Los Brickstons junto con varios amigos del LUG ALE construyen este diorama de los vikingos llegando a una población en el sur-este de España. El diorama fue presentado en el evento ALEBricks celebrado los días 2 y 3 de junio de 2018.

Two female Harries, the smaller bird was is an aerial attacking the larger bird, I took several photo of all the action and decided to group the photos in the Montage photo

After protecting my peacock feathers from all children and animals for years, I find myself allowing Toby kitten to decimate them, one by one, because it's just so darn much fun to watch him.
Lucy (our dog) stands amazed. She can hardly believe it. When the kitten first started playing with the feathers, reaching out from the bannisters and pulling them out of the floor vase with his claws, she would come and get me to let me know the kitten was being naughty. Then when she saw me actually picking a feather out and giving it to Toby, she couldn't believe her eyes. She's like the older child watching the baby of the family get away with stuff she was never allowed to do.
A loose dog goes for a swan, luckily the swan was far too quick and evaded harm. Difficult one to expose for as shooting straight into the sun.
Bosham, West Sussex - UK
This is a 9 frame sequence taken in less than 1 second of a gyrfalcon attacking a flock of snow geese. You can see his single target near the center of the sequence with blood on its back. The falcon flew in multiple times and hit the single bird with its talons. Shortly after I captured this sequence, a bald eagle flew in and took a single bird. I'm guessing the eagle grabbed this falcon's meal. Skagit Valley, Washington. November, 2019.
Cock Greater Prairie Chickens attacking a rival. On the way back to Saskatchewan, I stopped in Kearney, Nebraska, on the Platte River to see the Sandhill Cranes. Prairie Wind Birding Tours was nearby and offering watching and photo opportunities for Greater Prairie Chicken dancing on a lek. I took over 4500 photos. It will take time to process all that! While processing Orion M42 I saw this Science Fiction Opera image. The earth is under attack by aliens.. Reality is The Orion nebula in SHO palette.
Only 1300 lightyears away :)
This crow could not distract the Bald Eagle from the salmon so it jumped on it's head. The Eagle ignored it and continued to eat.
The beautiful Queen of the Athi Pride, Nala led her pride members in a hunt attempt on a herd of Zebras.
We followed Queen Nala for an hour and half, during which time they got into a strategic position and the final stalk started. But alas their timing was not correct and the herd of Zebra's ran away.
