A red flowering variant, grown in a large clay pot with other Astrophytum species in my backyard bear Phoenix, Arizona.
On Wednesday morning September 28, 2017 we visited Tucson Botanical Gardens and Café Botanica--several loops aroung the gardens followed by breakfast.
