Sandwiched inbetween 2 differently characterized plazas, ENZO forms a new place in the city where functions and people meet. All functions meet, interact and collide in a public passage that binds the building and its surroundings.

Pits and cut roofs play and trigger interests, oblique walls grab and attract wanderers in transit and enclose exhibition spaces.

The former developer and owner of La Arcada, Hugh Peterson, was a wonderful, philanthropic man, but if we'd ever sat down over a couple of beers, I think I'd loosen up enough to blow off some steam about the cute squirrels and other kitsch pieces scattered through this architectural master piece.
