As the sun begins to set and people start to open the lights, it is a sign that daytime has just ended, and that night time is to begin soon.

A quick and casual picture of a street and nearby establishments taken during sunset.

I had originally wanted the shot to be wider, but I unfortunately had to work around the limitations of the phone.

Pre-Game

I met Rusty at Sam Ash to look at an Ibanez S and then we went to Zaftig for a couple beers before I picked up Julie.

I texted Julie while at Zaftig and told her what I was doing. I asked her if I should get the dogs before picking her up or just pick her up and maybe grab a pre-birthday dinner. She opted for just picking her up and grabbing dinner.

We went to JT's Pizza and eventually KFos & Michele met us there. What we didn't know when we walked in was that it was Trivia Night Wednesday. We played but didn't do well at all. It was really fun!

Getting Ready

Dr. Butler told me to get some dental adhesive at the pharmacy since my temporary crown came off last night. He gave me very specific instructions on how to put it back on cleanly.

I will try gluing the temp crown back in tomorrow morning.

Stratocaster Saturday

Something different to post on Instagram. I am playing my new 2019 Fender Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster with nearly all my other guitars in the background. My purple Warmoth VIP is upstairs.

I went to BW-3 for lunch and basically ate for free. Then Julie and I went to JT's for dinner.

I got furnace filters and some new flood lights for the basement at Lowe's before I went to BW-3. I may have found the perfect lights for these basement fixtures!

Here is the body before removing the pickguard plastic. The pickguard actually looks mint. Is it supposed to be mint?

Powerless

We saw Karma today. Karma is a black pit bull that has been rescued but needs a home. Co-Worker friends of Juile's rescued her and are trying to find her a home. Julie has made it clear she wants Karma. She has been talking about it for over a week. I have been very clear that I do not want another dog and I am a one dog person. My conditions have been ignored and overridden.

We went to Texas Roadhouse after seeing Karma. In the kindest, clearest form I made it known that I did not want another dog.

We will get Karma on Friday.

I have no power.

Podcast Thursday

We had our second interview with Joe Viers today. For his second interview, Joe selected the movie "Waiting For Guffman". It was another great interview.

Speed Kills

Can you tell I like Blue?

Day two of Speed Kills 1. I am taking advantage of this shelter at home time to be a better guitar player, learn songs for my bands, and produce YouTube content. I really should try to write some songs.

Earlier today WOW! Cable came and changed our cable box to their streaming service. So, I spent a lot of time changing devices to the new WiFi network. Nest is a pain in the ass...

I have decided to give this simple city street picture a similarly simple title. :-)

Cramming

I am about to cram 12 songs on guitar for rehearsal tomorrow. It is a good thing Ken started texting the group about Rammstein tickets because when discussion drifted to rehearsal they all said it was moved to February 5th. I guess Scott had sent a "not feeling well" email that I hadn't seen. Now back to learning country songs on bass...

Julie and I went to Texas Roadhouse tonight. It was my "Steak Day"

A stroke of luck during the rainy season had afforded me this simple city landscape picture.

A variation of one of my previous works, Closure II, in this picture, the bright morning sky shines upon the large, wide street and its surroundings below.

Due to the rainy season currently occurring where I live, I apologize if I may not be able to create and upload new content frequently for the next few months, as well as if my pictures will involve cloudy or rainy weather. Nonetheless, I will try to keep the art portfolio active as much as possible.

Editing

I spent pretty much the entire day editing first dance music then our next podcast (Joe Viers second interview on "Waiting For Guffman")

I got some saline solution from CVS in hopes that I have just irritated my eye and that there is not parts of a contact in there. Dr. Pat gave me some ideas to tease it out if there was some pieces of contact in my eye.

Vegan Monster Protein

I have decided to use Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein's Vegan Monster Protein as a meal replacement for breakfast and lunch until it is gone (25 servings, so maybe 12 days?). I need to lose weight and I can't blame COVID-19 for gaining weight.

My Westy suffered a mechanical breakdown, not too far from home. Just my luck... Looking on the bright side, it could have been worse. Shot with iPhone 8. April 28, 2022

Dragon Mask

We finally used the facial masks Shay gave us for Christmas. They were fun!

Otherwise we just hung around the house all day. I screwed up and took a sick day today thinking my doctor appointment was this morning but it was actually yesterday...and rescheduled.

Seeing The Light

I am woodshedding the new songs and a few songs I have not played in over 2 months. Tomorrow is Distorted Silence rehearsal with Josh on drums since Jim has CF and will not be able to rehearse or perform for at least the rest of June.

Sunlight was streaming through the well window and caught me right in the eyes!

Today was the music industry initiated "Blackout Tuesday" and I participated on Instagram. The request was to post a blank black picture with the hastags #TheShowMustPaused and #BlackoutTuesday. The idea was to focus attention on family and community and not your "business". I'm not really sure who was behind it but I played along. I couldn't resist posting a picture of all my black guitars later in the day though.

Julie had been craving a Reuben sandwich since we saw some special on a food channel so we ordered a couple from Neighbor's Deli in Upper Arlington. They were pretty good.

Gigging

Tonight 1 Bad Mother played Midway Tap. It was my first night on guitar with the band. Grant is unable to perform live due to having a heart condition that landed him in the hospital. Doctors say he should not be in public until the Coronavirus stuff blows over. Shawn Pruden filled in on bass and Sara McKeown sang a few songs. It went fairly well. Looks like I will be playing guitar for the next couple gigs at least.

My Mom and I went to lunch at Old Dog Alehouse for my upcoming birthday. She gave me a Bob Evans t-shirt and a card of my baby foot prints from when I was born! The card has my footprints in blue ink plus the details of my birth! That was the best gift she could have given me.

At the Vet

Today we took Dharma to our veterinarian for her first visit. She was an angel! She is so chill. We had a long wait because we got there early.

Earlier in the day Julie and I had eye doctor appointments. She said her vision was much worse than last year. My vision only slightly changed. Dr. Bosner gave me some contacts to try; if they work for Saturday's gig I might go back in and get a longer supply, otherwise I may be done with contacts.

Also, I finished episode 42 of the Moving Music podcast this morning and posted it. Libsyn was having some posting/sharing issues so it was not immediately available like normal. I noticed it was available when I was at the eye doctor and TC handled sharing it on Facebook. This was Will Newsome's second interview with Moving Music.
