Не успело закончится окончательное слияние сети Теле2 и Ростелекома, а оператор приготовил для своих абонентов новый сюрприз -- запуск 4G. Очевидно, что событие вызывает много вопросов, попытаемся разобраться в них.
Где искать сеть?
Согласно статистике оператора, 81% населения области находится в зоне приема сети 3G, что ежемесячно позволяет выкачивать 70ТБ, а в зоне приема LTE окажется 61%. Это хорошая цифра, если говорить о старте. Компания ориентирована на максимально широкое покрытие, а не наращивание пропускной способности, так как лишь 5% абонентов имеют гаджеты с поддержкой сети 4 поколения.
Если нужен безлимит
Трендом последнего года стало появление безлимитных тарифов в сетях 4G, Т2 тоже пошел этим путем и вывел на рынок тариф Беспредельно черный, предоставляющий пакет минут и безлимитный интернет со смартфона. Безлимитов для роутеров и модемов, которые, кстати, уже поступили в продажу, компания не предлагает. Эта ситуация расстроит жителей частного сектора, арендаторов офисов и других пользователей, которые могли бы стать потребителями псевдофиксированного интернета.

Насколько безлимитен безлимит?

Кроме запуска более современной сети Теле2 видит существенный плюс в разгрузке сети 3G, хотя при текущей доле LTE устройств это вряд ли даст существенное облегчение. К тому же, ввиду энергозатратности, многие пользователи устройств с поддержкой ЛТЕ включают его только в том случае, если требуется поработать с тяжелым контентом, остальное же время телефон висит в сети 3G, которого вполне достаточно для мессенджеров, почты и социальных сетей.

Сеть так же будет доступна в Дзержинске, Павлово, Сарове, Арзамасе, Балахне, Бору, Выксе и Кстово. Выбор городов обусловлен активностью абонентов и их техническим оснащением.
Техническая сторона
Оператор заявляет о работе LTE в диапазона 800/1800МГц, однако важно отметить, что ни в одном населенном пункте области не используются оба диапазона. Вторым моментом, заслуживающим особого внимания, является распределение частот: оно обратное относительно традиционного, что принесет ряд сложностей абонентам.
Обычно сети 800 диапазона используют для сельской местности, они способны обеспечить большую площадь покрытия от одной базовой станции благодаря дальнобойности сигнала, что особенно актуально при низкой плотности абонентов. Это позволяет значительно экономить на установке передатчиков, аренде опор и т.д. Кроме того, сигнал меньше поглощается и лучше проходит сквозь преграды. Однако по сравнению с более высокими частотами у сигнала есть минусы: его паспортная скорость ниже, то есть даже в идеальных условиях скорость у 800 будет в 2 раза ниже, чем у 1800. Учитывая, что на один сектор приходится несколько абонентов, паспортная скорость делится между ними. В условиях низкой плотности это не сильно замедляет интернет.
Очень странное решение приняла компания, выбрав для города диапазон в 800МГц, хотя имеет оборудование и лицензию на 1800, который, кстати, использует в сельской местности. Вопрос реальной необходимости широкого радиуса в городе спорный: свои коррективы вносит застройка и радиотень неизбежна, в то же время высокая плотность абонентов вместе с большим радиусом и небольшой паспортной скоростью вряд ли позволит насладиться скоростями LTE.
Оборудование
Вместе с запуском новой технологии Tele2 выпускают в продажу и новое оборудование: модемы, роутеры и смартфоны. В частности анонсирован Micromax Q414 по цене 5390р. Фактически это почти Q415, правда процессор помедленнее и батарея чуть меньше. При том, что 415 стоит 3740 у МегаФона, из которых 750 можно потратить на услуги связи, предложение тоже не выглядит дешевле. Первое время при покупке гаджетов T2 обещает по 3 месяца безлимита в подарок. Но даже если посчитать по 350р за 3 месяца, все равно получается дороже.
Свое оборудование
Не все пользователи рады операторским смартфонам, но с диапазоном 800 может выйти проблема на различных гаджетах. Например примерно такую картинку можно увидеть:
Конечно представители компании считают, что это связано с китайским происхождением аппарата, однако следует учесть, что таких аппаратов становится все больше. Люди не видят смысла переплачивать за растаможку, налоги и ростест. При этом многие модели просто не представлены на российском рынке официально. Например бренд Xiaomi вообще нельзя купить официально, хотя в российских интернет магазинах он вполне доступен. Указанный скриншот сделан с телефона производителя Huawei (прошлогоднего флагмана), который семимильными шагами завоевывает популярность и показывает небывалый рост продаж.
На фоне этого очень удивляет позиция компании, ведь вряд ли телефон будут менять для перехода не Т2, тем более, если это не дешевый бюджетник со сроком жизни в год. Такая ситуация несколько напоминает умерший SkyLink.
Замеры
Пока провести замеры скорости не удалось, по выше указанной причине. По словам представителей компании им на испытаниях была доступна скорость в 25-26МБ/с, что близко к технологическому пределу в 30.
Развитие
На вопросы о том, как сеть на таком стандарте справится с ростом абонентов, отвечают уклончиво, ссылаясь на определение необходимости модернизации по росту абонентской базы. Но вот насколько она будет расти в указанных условиях-не понятно. Складывается ощущение, что LTE был запущен просто потому, что "так принято", для него не придумали тарифов, единственный безлимит неконкурентен, как и скорости.
Вместо заключения
Несмотря на то, что Теле2 ожидает рост абонентской базы, особых причин для него нет. На фоне остальных операторов это предложение не выигрывает ни по одному из параметров. Однако некоторым существующим абонентам оно может оказаться полезно, в первую очередь это люди, номер которых не оформлен должным образом или оформлен не на них, но при этом ценен. Воспользоваться переходом по MNP они не смогут, а так их жизнь с Т2 станет чуть лучше. Особенно разочаровывает то, что будучи последними, кто развернул сеть LTE, Теле2 имели возможность учесть наработки конкурентов, которые порой были первооткрывателями и делали первые робкие шаги, но оператор выбрал собственный путь, который оказался весьма специфическим. Today is a Sunday. But not just any old Sunday. I was blessed with a good friend remind me today that it is Palm Sunday. And at Youth Group today we mentioned it. Good stuff.
Typical Sunday's usually go as follows:
1000: On bad days I wake up flustered at this time. Good days I am already over SW's place rushing Dan and Mel to hurry up...!
1015: Usually at church by this time. If not just before 1030 at least.
1030: Prayer meeting starts.
1100: Sunday Service starts.
1230: Sunday Service ends. Chit chat and catchup time with folks! Or debate about where to go for lunch.
1300: Either head to place for lunch, or head home for lunch.
1430: Youth Group prayer meeting for us Youth leaders just before the session.
1500: Youth Group starts! Things start getting crazy at this time...
1600: Youth Group finishes. Usually if I am leading my voice would be gone or husky due to shouting over the volume of the kids!
1615: Usually chatting etc in the church car park and/or packing up things ready for home time.
1630: If I follow SW home, we leave at this time. If I follow Teresa, I am usually home at this time. Ha.

1730: Usually napping from such a busy busy day at church. Oh yes. A day of rest! And I usually only nap on a Sunday afternoon after the church day... Crazy.

Sadly tonight I didn't get this. On good old Palm Sunday. I really wanted to go home to nap or continue the chat with Mel and SW after Youth Group. But sadly I had to go straight to work, because I had to fill in for someone because they helped me work last night. (I had a valid excuse not to go to work...! Had a v. important meeting at church, a whole church prayer meeting yay!) But was pretty miffed when she refused to swap with me unless I worked for her Sunday. Humph. On my favourite day of the week and all. Humph.
Anyway. So yeh. Pretty knackered now. And am ready to hit the sack. Napping or sleeping. Just to have a bit of shut-eye time.
Crazy few days ahead mind. Meh.
My mother saw these slippers/flipflop type of sandals in a health-care shop and didn't need to think twice about getting them. She got them for my brother, because he LOVES these types of slippers/flipflops/sandals, and simply wears them around the house day in day out.
He used to have the usual scholl type of flip flops that had all these yucky plastic bits that helped with the contour of your feet, really bumpy type of thing. He always used to wear them, what with them being good for your feet. I've never been much of a fan for them (I have mega flat feet for one thing!)
So here, I'm sporting my brother's new BEAD slipper/flipflops. They're kinda like the beaded seats you get for your car, in the driver's seat, typically in taxis... which helps your back, only they're for your feet. And very very bumpy. Uncomfortable if you've got bad flat feet that need sorting out (like mine), comfy for ergonomically correct feet (like my brothers...)
I didn't wash up the dishes from Thursday evening [because we ate very late].
I didn't wash up the dishes yesterday all day because I simply did not enter the kitchen, mainly because I was out pretty much all day (supermarket and working in the evening til late)
So I had a bit of a surprise this morning when I found a massive pile of dirty dishes waiting for me to bathe them. Seemingly they all piled up throughout the days.
I don't usually have to wash up on the weekend [my brother and I alternate, I do Tues-Thurs, he does Fri-Monday, mainly cos on weekdays I'm usually in, and weekends there aren't as many dishes. Plus I cook!]
But considering how I didn't wash up Thursdays and Friday's added on top of it, I guess it doesn't take a genius to work out it's my turn to wash up...
But I don't mind. Because I just listen to music. And when I listen to music, everything is ok.
PS: clocks go back tonight! Well here in the UK! woohoo! An extra hour in bed!
My 26th secret is this: When I was a kid of 8 years old, I found a razor. And let's just say I experimented around a little.

We all do silly things when we're young. And my sisters all have a fair share of accidental funny stories too.
After all, about 5 years after this incident, it became fashionable to shave a little bit of your eyebrows. I guess I was just a little ahead of the trends. As per usual ;)

So I just grabbed my most sassiest pair of shoes [also red] but sadly not with a stiletto heel. So I made do with just the red wedge heeled shoe. Then photoshopped the rest so that it looked kinda like the cover of my book. A lot of burning and dodging and blending of the colours. And maybe a little help with the pitchfork, hehe. But here's my lame attempt at copying it :)
Yep. You bet. Love shoes.... But sadly I could never afford expensive Prada shoes. The only most expensive designer label [in shoes] would have to be, Dune... But then again, is that even as big as Prada? Hmm. Maybe not...
Anyway. Like a true typical girl, I do love me shoes. A lot, despite how much of a love-hate relationship we have with one another, you know, looking great-making-me-walk-confidently vs bloody blisters [and I mean bloody!] with red-raw sore feet...

All in all, girls never learn when they get hurt by shoes, cos they'll only forgive them time and time again, then get hurt again, and again and again.....And guys will never understand about the relationship between a girl and her shoes.... My lame ass sister M stole my new Rocket Dog shoes. I discovered that they were missing this morning when I was searching EVERYWHERE for my comfy shoes that replaced these old ones [as shown above].
Rocket Dog shoes are the world's most comfiest shoes ever. And the ones shown above were literally falling apart and so shabby looking that I had to replace them with new ones.
Now my ass of a sister M stole them and has run away with them, to Bristol, and I will never see the shoes again. I'm mega pissed off. Mainly because those were the only shoes I could wear that were flat, comfy and rocket dog ones. So pissed off you won't believe.
They were MY shoes. Not hers. MY shoes. I hate sharing shoes. If anything you should never share shoes. For a start feet have bacteria.

And I despise my sister M not only because of this. She comes home and steals whatever, says she's borrowing such and such. And I never see them ever again. My clothes are a fine example. I hate it. And then she buys say a Christmas present for you [which you will blatantly hate] and she'll say she'll take it back to the shop and return it for you, but she never gives you another gift [or she keeps the gift for herself] and well, how sly is that?
gaaaaaaaaah. I am now smart shoe-less. Now whenever I need smart shoes I will have to wear these shabby looking pair.
sisters suck.
I am now officially sulking to all family members in a protest to get my shoes back.
My 13th secret is this: I have experienced too many cases of unrequited love. If I were given a pound for each time, I'd be rich. Well. Nearly.
Continuing on from yesterday's Day 224: Not so lucky [in terms of love]. I said I wasn't lucky in love. And well, it all boils down to the fact that I always like people who don't like meeee.
I spent the majority of my teenage years and uni days obsessed with finding the right guy. Getting clued up on relationships. Just spent a lot of time thinking about it. So much so I'd always experience a thing called unrequited love, because I wanted so badly to be in a relationship. But the funny thing is, it makes me stronger every time I experience it. Up until last year [oh it had gotten sooo bad] I experienced it. But thank God all these things have now stopped. This whole thing with unrequited love.
And one of the reasons was this. I stopped obsessing over it. Stopped getting myself involved with books regarding love and relationships. I took Katie Eee's advice to stop thinking about it. I've pretty much put my attention into other areas.
So that's kind of helped. You know. Leave it with God sort of thing.
And what's funny is when my friends all turn to me for relationship advice. And I give it to them. How I have gained such knowledge? I would say, through obsessing over it and getting clued up on it throughout the years. So it's a blessing and a curse, in some respects.
For the rest of this month of May, I have decided to take this opportunity to do the
30 SECRETS IN 30 DAYS challenge! I will tell you my secrets. Day-by-day :) Ok, some may seem like facts, but they're still things not many people know about, thus qualifying them to BE secrets. Heh.
Following on from last week's saga concerning my getting-up-to-date-with-ones immunizations...
I went for the next selection of jabs.
AND I specifically asked for a list of the things I've had done this week and last! Because I want to share it all with you. Well, I don't remember the names of the jabs I had [because I've never been a medically minded type of girl].
So far, I am up to date with the following:
- Polio because the last time I had this was when I was five years old.
- Tetanus last time was in 2001...
- Diphtheria last time 2001.
- Mumps when I was five years old in 1990.
- Rubella!!! [yeh typo last time!] last time was in 1990 too.
- Measles again in 1990.
- Hepatitis A last time 2001.
- Hepatitis B first time ever! I even had to pay for just this ONE shot... another one due in a month's time! Not looking forward to the experience.
- Typtyphim first time ever... again...
Anyway. Today, I had 6 of the above jabs today. Well the top three together, and then another of the next three together.
Oh my days.
My left arm was the killer. I was really shocked to find that the nurse was doing it very slowly [it was never THIS slow!] and the pain! Oh my goodness. And the hole meant I bled for quite sometime.
Likewise with my right arm afterwards. Although it wasn't a slow process, a quick one... And didn't sting or hurt. But there was blood again!
What's up with my body?! I didn't bleed a single drop of blood last week.
So this week, I went away with plasters! One on each arm.
Some of the youth kids tonight at bible study thought I was wearing a nicotine patch! haha... kids say the darndest things!
But anyway. The majority of them were routine checkups and immunizations, mainly childhood catchups because it's been a LONG long time. And just general health concerns. I'm getting older, am growing up. Best to be protected right eh?
But today I was sooo not the trooper I claimed to be. I was complaining about the pain in my left arm! haha...
Was only a matter of time until I'd be ill this Winter. I lasted longer than expected or anticipated. And I thought it'd be a case of The-Snot-and-Sniffles. But actually it's a bad bad cough, which my eldest sister S passed on to me. Followed by migraines, and high-temperature galore.
I'm coughing my lungs out. And my voice seems to be going on strike. Just when I have to lead worship/be chairperson on Sunday at church and all too. Humph. And I have to work tonight. Tomorrow night and the night after that. Double humph. Feel sorry for me.
Hair. Tis crazy crazy. And I always wanted long hair as a child growing up. And by the time I hit age 15, I got my dream come true. Long long hair. Not quite as long as to my butt. But long enough.
But some people count me lucky for having thick volume-some whole-some buxom sized big hair. My hair is so thick the hairdressers struggle with it. I've never had the same hairdresser working on my hair more than twice in my whole life. All except for the Motherhood. My father would enforce a law to make sure I had my hair cut whenever it got too long it covered my eyes or my ears [which stopped my ears or eyes from functioning properly, he said]. And I'd be dragged to the bathroom, tears and screams etc and all, and off my long locks went. Always... So I grew up with short short hair. So much so I grew up looking like a boy. So as I'm a grown up and I can control and take care of my own hair, I've learned to love hair all the more. I do like hair though. But did I tell you I also like wigs too?? ;)
Anyway, this didn't come out how I expected it to. I've kinda lost all sense of creativity lately. Maybe it's cos I've been a little busy busy? But just a lame attempt. The photo came out bad, the the lighting v. v. bad. Then there were stray hairs that weren't long enough that came out ultra bad. And the nose area had the bathroom light on it, and the rest picked up on my flash... Gah...
Nothing photoshop couldn't fix. My hair isn't actually brown. It's just black. The brown was caused by:
New Filler Layer > Solid Colour,
then brown, opacity set to about 40%,
then burning the bad lit areas and stray short hair strands.

I'm feeling very very tired. I look pretty tired. I went to bed on Friday night [or technically Saturday morning] at 5am. Then the following day on Saturday night [or technically this morning] I went to bed at 3am. Shocking I know. I know.
And today I got woke up at an unearthly hour of 7am just so I "Could-Be-There" with my camcorder in hand to film my eldest sister S, brother-in-law K, and my 4th oldest sister M run the marathon. Ok. It was half a marathon. But I was there to film the countdown to the race [at the starting point] and managed to film them run past.
On the other hand. Been really tired because suddenly I had tonnes to do like finish post-processing a client's photos, and plan for my first youth talk [one of my co-leader SW thinks I should have the title "The Official Youth Worker" for the time I'm with them... well not that it's the first time being a leader. But suddenly I'm one of the responsible ones after my bestfriend left town. So been planning my talk [which I gave today] and there were sooo many technical glitches.
Alas. I'm not looking too great. I look rough. Hence even a brown bag looks much prettier than I.
[btw I came up with this idea a while ago, but finding a decent paper brown bag here in UK, or here in Cardiff, has deemed harder than expected. You'd have thought that I could get this anywhere, at the grocers or whatever. Nope. Nadda. Couldn't even find it in basic shops. [Although I wasn't gunna go to the cash-and-carry place for catering business and buy 1000 worth of brown bags now was I?! So I made this bag out of old wrapping paper [aka kraft paper as a paper-fanatic would label it].

I've made too many trips to the toilet this morning. I had severe diarrhea. I think it was the pizza I ordered for take out last night. My tummy was like a washing machine, kept spinning, and making these gross moaning sounds. And I was shivering like I had hypothermia.
And this was all in a space of one hour at 9am to 10am.
Then I went back to bed. And slept until, about 3ish. And then I realised... Oh no! I still aint shot my 365! And I've got to go to work soon!
So here's a quicky, before I buzz off to work. Humph.
Am much better thanks. But totally dried out, on the inside. My salt intake is below negative. I haven't eaten anything. I'm a little weak, but better thanks.
Every now and then my body rejects the food I eat, mainly because my stomach is very very sensitive. And any bad bacteria, it comes up, usually right away. But it's also another way of my body telling me "Oi! Ansy! Stop with the junk food you fat slob! Go to the gym! Eat healthily! Noooow!!".

Размер оборудования может расстроить любителей всего компактного, однако не стоит беспокоиться - это тестовые образцы, кроме самих передатчиков там расположено и другое оборудование.
Снизить задержки
Не секрет, что важной характеристикой соединения с интернетом является ping, а проще говоря скорость передачи сигнала (то, что принято называть скоростью, правильнее считать пропускной способностью), от величины пинга зависят задержки при передаче команд во время удаленного управления, задержки видео при трансляции, лаги в сетевых играх и еще много чего.
Те, кто смотрел фильмы про американские военные беспилотники, наверняка удивлялись, почем управление ими производится не в режиме реального времени, как, например, у квадрокоптеров. На самом деле причина всему задержка - расстояние столь велико, что сигнал ретранслируется через спутник, что увеличивает время его получения до нескольких секунд. Любой геймер скажет, что при таком пинге играть невозможно. Самые большие пинги в космосе, там сигнал может идти минуты или даже часы, если кто смотрел Марсианин.
Кроме того, что сама сеть более отзывчива, новый стандарт предусматривает обработку некоторых данных на базовой станции (Mobile Edge Computing), без передачи ее по магистрали в ЦОД и обратно, на этом существенно экономится время и ресурс транспортной сети. Примером такой реализации может служить система видеонаблюдения, контролирующая перемещение объектов (например пересечения заданного периметра), на видео демонстрируется ее работа.

Локальная обработка не только снижает задержки, но и гарантирует большую безопасность. Рамками подсвечиваются распознанные люди, как в Person of Interest.
Безопасный город позволяет используя множество камер обрабатывать информацию о происходящем в городе, она использовалась в Сочи во время олимпиады.

Еще недавно мы восхищались телевизорами с поддержкой 1080p, однако прогресс предлагает все новые технологии, например видео в формате виртуальной реальности.

Они не спутниковые, в них встроена рация, позволяющая общаться, если мобильная сеть недоступна. Система работает как PTT, но усовершенствована передачей видео. Планируется, что продукт будет востребован сотрудниками спецслужб.

Работа идет через специальное приложение, которое можно установить не только на указанную модель телефона, а передача данных происходит через отдельную точку доступа и подсеть.
Перспективы внедрения
Обладая самым широким частотным ресурсом среди российских операторов, мегафон уверен, что с диапазонами проблем не возникнет. Большая часть магистралей для базовых станций уже проложена оптикой и транспортного ресурса достаточно. Однако установкой дополнительных передатчиков дело вряд ли ограничится, ведь стандарт будет иметь еще более высокую частоту, что означает меньший радиус, для полноценного и плотного покрытия города потребуется установить множество новых станций.
Отдельное внимание уделяется интернету вещей, ведь предполагаемое количество устройств будет столь велико, что ресурсов современных сетей не будет достаточно для регистрации их всех. 5G сможет решить этот вопрос, кроме того, предполагается, что всевозможные датчики и счетчики смогут передавать информацию через новую сеть, при этом не требуя питания (около года от одного заряда). Понятно, что более интенсивная и скоростная передача данных потребует еще больше питания, чем LTE, однако в ряде сфер деятельности не представляет сложностей обеспечить постоянное питание.
Не за горами и мобильные пользовательские терминалы, которые будут в привычном формфакторе планшета или смартфона, а в размер роутера они помещаются и сейчас. Примерный срок внедрения 2020 год.

Every evening, [except for Sundays] you will hear this twinkly little tune playing out on the streets. When I first heard it for the first time I thought it was somebody's phone. But then when I tried to make it out even more, I assumed it to be an ice-cream van!
Hmm... No., Not in this country. It's actually a tune that is played by the garbage/trash/rubbish truck.
So whenever people hear it [it normally goes to the same neighbourhoods roughly at the same time most evenings], people automatically grab their garbage/trash/rubbish and rush downstairs/outside and dispose their stuff.
It's a regular thing because of the hot climate here. If you don't throw out your garbage on a regular basis things start smelling baaad. And I mean baaad.
I didn't intend on touching this load of rubbish for this shot, but I had to touch the plastic white bag in the middle because it had words on the side of the bag. But when I touched it I saw sooo many bugs and flies in there.... ew.
Yup. This rubbish has only been there for like 5 days. But still. It's a hot country, and generally rubbish tends to get a bit ewwy after a while... And did I mention smelly?
Anyway...
So that's the garbage/trash/rubbish system here.

Внедрение всего нового часто сталкивается с сопротивлением людей. Иногда причиной становится нежелание переучиваться и разбираться в новом, хотя чаще всего появившийся продукт обладает существенными недостатками. Недостатки могут быть by design или by release (то есть архитектурно заложенные, так и связанные с конкретной реализацией идеи). Если вторые можно устранить со временем, то первые могут быть исправлены только полной переработкой или заменой системы. Попытаемся разобраться, что и как с транспортными картами.
Транспортные карты есть разных видов, льготные отличаются цветом и дизайном. Рассматривать их мы не будем. Остановимся на самых популярных - универсальных. Заодно сравним с ранее внедренными в Минске.
Получение
Получить карту можно в киосках "союзпечать" и отделениях почты. Здесь же первое отличие: придется заплатить (в Минске вносится залог за карту, возвращаемый при возврате карты) 50р за активацию. То есть карту вернуть если не понравится, отменят систему или по иным причинам вы не сможете. Мелочь, а неприятно.
Сайт
У карты есть сайт. Обилие текста не добавляет ясности. Например перед покупкой у меня возникли определенные вопросы, которые развеять я не смог, используя материалы сайта.
Горячая линия
Не найдя информации на сайте, я привычно погуглил. Наткнулся на ссылку о некорректном списании. Надо отдельно отметить, что с моими образом жизни наиболее интересен именно суточный тариф. Звонок в службу поддержки меня расстроил еще больше: во-первых, мне не смогли сказать, как выбрать тариф, во-вторых, мне сказали, что система не понимает неправильные суммы. То есть я не могу внести сумму не равную тарифу одного из проездных. Этот ответ кстати очень хорошо объяснил, что случилось с героем новости. На вопрос, как же мне быть, если рядом с домом нет пунктов пополнения карты, а до них нужно ехать, оператор предложила мне завести 2 карты!
Пополнение
Как оказалось, пополнять можно все же на неправильные суммы, а тариф прописан в явном виде. Пополнять можно в Сбербанке или тех же киосках с газетами и почтовых отделениях. Там же можно менять тариф. Например суточный имеет код 88. При этом нормального способа пополнения (через сайт, электронный кошелек, интернет-банк нет и не предвидится). Возможно это связано с тем, что данные записываются на саму карту. Например в сбербанке ее нужно прикладывать к терминалу дважды (до и после внесения денег). Если бы данные хранились на сервере, а карта представляла собой просто уникальный номер, можно было бы прикрутить онлайн оплату
Цена вопроса
Безусловно, любой прогресс должен снижать издержки. Если в Минске практически нет кондукторов, а валидаторы расположены на поручнях, то в Нижнем Новгороде нужны и кондукторы, и валидаторы. Какая при этом может быть экономия? Никакой. Скорее напротив выросли издержки.
Безопасность проезда
Когда нет кондуктора, его работу выполняет водитель. В Минске его участие для взаимодействия с валидаторами (90% пассажиров так платят) не требуется. Билеты для остальных продаются только во время остановок. У нас же водителя приходится дергать и для прикладывания карты.
Мотивация и дисконт
Если говорить о разовой оплате (в режиме кошелька) то с карты списывают те же 20р, что неправильно. Иначе какой смысл в ней? В Минске действует следующая система: платить картой дешевле всего, чуть дороже, одноразовыми билетами или жетонами (их также можно приобрести в запас в киосках печати), еще дороже, на месте кондуктору, если он есть, и самое дорогое - водителю. Это логично, увеличивает сознательность граждан и цивилизованно борется с несознательными.
Кстати, если вы просто покупаете поездки (очень интересно, что при внесении денег на счет Минской карты, работающей в режиме кошелька, на ней хранятся уже поездки, а не деньги, что выгодно в случае повышения цен) стоимость поездки зависит от вносимой суммы. Оптом дешевле.
Активация проездного
Проездной выглядит в виде специального тарифа, который записывается на карту. У него свой ID. Как одновременно активировать несколько? Никак, только переехав в Минск. В БСК (бесконтактная смарт карта, так у них это называется) реализована поддержка 6 одновременных тарифов.
Время - деньги
Электронные средства по сравнению с традиционными должны обеспечить наибольшую гибкость. Если говорить о проездных, то можно сделать больше сроков на выбор. У нас только сутки или месяц. В Минске есть еще декада и полмесяца. Проездные могут быть куплены на следующий месяц, а не только на текущий.
Общественное мнение
Многие революционные технологии могут пропасть из-за неудачного внедрения. То, что сейчас делано компанией Ситикард, нельзя назвать никак, кроме как дискредитацией самой идеи электронной оплаты проезда. Для пользователя продукта крайне мало преимуществ, зато граблей раскидали изрядно. Проблема даже не в том, что текущая система by design несовершенна, а в том, что для большинства нижегородцев она стала первой и сформировала негативное впечатление о всех таких продуктах.
Власти
Конечно некоторый негатив подогревают сторонники бумажных проездных. Среди них не только пользователи. Электронные системы более прозрачны и кому-то перекроют доступ к кормушке. Однако хорошо сделанное трудно ругать, текущая реализация давала и будет давать повод указать на неудобство и неэффективность, тем, кто кормился с неучтенки.
Вместо заключения
Скидки вы не получите, а за карту заплатите. Даже если потом от системы откажутся или модифицируют. Пополнить можно в многих пунктах, но не везде. Есть немало мест, где живут люди, но нет сбербанка и газетных киосков в шаговой доступности. Оплаты онлайн нет и не предвидится. Возможности использовании карты вместо нескольких проездных также нет. На чеках пишется только баланс, а не срок действия текущего тарифа. Придется отвлекать водителя и ходить к нему по салону. В плюсах не много: нет необходимости путаться со сдачей, есть суточный тариф. Все.

During yesterday's church Sermon, the preacher dude showed us three diaries. I thought I was the only one to do that. Have more than one.
But no, turns out I'm not the only one to have a normal schedule diary, and a devotional diary and a diary for journaling.
However, I technically only have two diaries. The two blue ones I use regularly. The red is the new one I'll be moving to because my middle blue one (an academic diary) is due to be finished soon.
I know in today's society the in-est thing is a PDA or a blackberry. But I personally feel an actual diary is much more "personal". Helps when you're a doodly pen-to-paper kind of person. I'm more traditional in that respects.

Having come back from Bristol, after the cake photoshoot, for my sister M, touching down back at home... I'm off again for the Bank Holiday Weekend with my bestfriend Alison! w00t w00t! It's officially the first [proper] holiday ever, this year! [the last holiday being Easter last year, when I went to Hong Kong] All the church camps and retreats don't count as holidays, merely as I'm busy busy doing things and so active and stressed, so technically that's not a holiday, that's kinda like working!
So I'm off on a long-deserved holiday. I've been so looking forward to this weekend for what seems like weeks and weeks on end!
Anyway. For the next 30 days, I have decided to take this opportunity to do the
30 SECRETS IN 30 DAYS challenge! [Also because I've been so clueless for ideas, so this works out pretty well!] So... For the next 30 days I will tell you my secrets. I don't know. Just being prepared for death maybe? Or some sort of disaster that may strike upon my bedroom or house or city. I'm a sentimental being. But I say goodbye to things like that. Because I like to prepare myself. Odd I know.
