This bridge is actually painted light blue. It's a trick of the light that makes it look golden. The sun was low and setting, and its rays must have been impinging on the bridge at just the right (very acute) angle to reflect off the crystalline anti-corrosion paint surface.

Taken at Martin and Sharon's house. I had to run home after working a 12 hour shift to get my tripod. All the way home I kept hoping the sky would stay slightly overcast which it did enabling me to get these photos. Towards the end of the shoot it started to rain and I took this as a sign that my time was over on the photo shoot.
