I had been watching this little teapot for about three weeks. Maybe four. It was sitting in a second hand store in Rockford. I opened the box and (probably) hopped up and down because of the turtle buddies on the top. I didn't initially purchase it because the top had been broken and re-glued.

I had gone back twice, and it was still sitting on the shelf but more to the back as new stuff came in. It looked like a few people had done the same thing I had done: "Oh cool!! Oh man, it's been broken!" and stuffed it back on the shelf.

Of course, I stopped and looked again and realized - gee, I'm probably not ever going to use it. It will sit on a shelf and I will smile each time I see it because of the turtles on top of the lid. It came home with me that day. This morning, I took pictures of it for the first time.

Boy, this odd duck is getting a lot of hits lately. I wonder why?

i has the angles.

& this is an unflattering one!

Opening Day in the Cape Cod Baseball Leage was held at Spillane Filed in Wareham, where the entire CCBL community came out in force to salute long-time Cape League supporter John Wylde on John Wylde appreciation night. Pregame ceremonies included a visit from the Good Year Blimp, hundreds of local Little League and Babe Ruth players, other CCBL players, and a long list of dignitaries who came out to honor Mr. Wylde.
