Retailing at 5,800 yen relsaed in Nov, it can be pricey for a 1/8 scale but sure to disappear fast from the market. Make your decision now so you won't regret it later. Knowing that, I need to stop being a hypocrite.

A praia de "Alter do Chão", também chamada "Caribe Brasileiro", é uma ilha rodeada de areias brancas, banhada pelo rio Tapajós, no município de Santarém, que fica na frente de uma vila com o mesmo nome.

Esta vila cresceu consideravelmente nos últimos anos, em virtude do turismo e devido a beleza desta praia. Hoje conta com uma infra-estrutura razoável em estrada asfaltada, hotéis, pousadas, restaurantes e linhas de ônibus diária.

No mês de setembro, os nativos da vila, com a ajuda da prefeitura de Santarém, promovem uma grande festa por 3 dias, chamada Sairé, onde a principal atração é a disputa entre dois grupos (Boto Cor de Rosa e Boto Tucuxi Cinza) que encenam a lenda amazônica, onde o boto transforma-se em homem nas noites de lua cheia e aparece nas festas para seduzir e engravidar as cunhantãs.

No período da estiagem amazônica, os banhistas podem acessar a ilha atravessando um córrego raso a pé. No período das cheias este trajeto é feito através de pequenas canoas, chamadas catraias.

This is the second altered/recycled CD project. Firstly, I painted Gesso on CD. After dry, I painted Ranger Acrylic Dabbers. I created my own patterned tissue papers by stamping Friend Definition and Music BG on white tissue paper, respectively. After gluing the patterned tissue papers on CD, I then did the stamping.

This exhibition was the culmination of a year long project involving 30 participants. 30 altered books were on display.

"Nitey Nite Teddy" by Sue Anne Bartocci McConnell McConnell

Darling little jointed teddy bear sleeps in an altered matchbox. So cozy! He has been hand sculpted from polymer clay. Jointed at the arms and legs with heavy thread. She has been stained for a vintage or antique look. Her box is altered with old linen taken from a vintage book, vintage dictionary pages, a bit of antique lace and other odds and ends of ephemera. Eyes are onyx, hat and blanket were made from "warm and natural" quilt batting and stained with coffee.

She is 3½ inches long with her legs extended.
