Have you seen the Somerset Studio Life issue just released? It is yummy.
Here is my version of the altered bottle.
This issue has lots of good stuff to get your imagination going.
This Altered Book is a sample for my workshop at Brookfield Craft Center in Brookfield, CT June 24 & 25, 2006. The blinds open and close. Two drawers pull out to hold tiny treasures.

Inner Excavation Chapter 1 : I Begin
This is a time of many beginnings. A time that reminds me of other beginnings. So where do I wish to begin? I wish to start with a wizard's mind.
Got this idea from a pin I saw on Pinterest. Here is the original link:

Photo by Frances Dodds (?), from Historic Landmarks in Ohio: Volume II, complied by several chapters of the United States Daughters of 1812 in 1953. Digitized by Columbus Memory. Miraculously, the house remains standing, albeit with alterations.
The caption reads:
A picture of the first house built in Goshen, Clermont County, called Jackson's Tavern. Where Jonathen Jackson lived in 1815 and where President Andrew Jackson stayed one night on his way to the White House. Jonathen Jackson, the owner, was a kin of President Andrew Jackson.
Though the story about Jackson's visit may be false, this home likely is Goshen's oldest extant building. The Goshen Historical Society's Facebook page provides a construction date of "circa 1803."

I recently attended the ZNE Art first-ever convention Aug. 22-24 in Pleasanton, CA and was it ever fantastic! My host for the event, Miss Vicky of Cut-it-Up fame, introduced me to so many wonderful people: Deena, Natalie, Nadine, Gina, Elena, Dori, Jackie, Jan, Danielle. The class I took with Gina Gabriell was almost as wonderful as she is, and I met more wonderful people: Iva, Colleen, Tina, Brigitta, and Deena and Elena were also in that class. I was privileged to meet many published artists and authors, including Sally Jean Alexander, Dawn DeVries Sokol, Pam Garrison, Lisa Kaus and JoAnna Pierotti and to meet in-person many good blog friends and art group friends, like Kris, Constanza and more. And then to see Miss Vicky's amazing home in the Sierra Nevada foothills and darling shop in an old apothecary in the Gold Rush town of Colfax, CA, was just amazing!
