I love when things align and work out:) lately I’ve had trouble finding compositions and new places to shoot in my local area. I’ve hiked every trail and even gone off the beaten path and I’ve just been struggling to find inspiration. So yesterday when I headed out I left with no expectations, and that really worked to my advantage. I stopped along the glen wood dunes trail and immediately found an awesome composition there, and then headed to the Mount Baldy Beach area because it’s the least crowded in light of the giant hill you have to walk up to leave. I walked down the beach towards the mill and as I was walking I noticed all this seaweed(or lake weed) and so I made sure to walk in the water as to not cause any footprints in my shot. I set up my composition near the end of the beach where this tree was and just waited. I got there about 6:45 and hung out not shooting and just listening to lake Michigan’s power for about an hour. I then opened my eyes and was greeted with this beautiful sky:) I shot until I couldn’t anymore and it was dark. It was such an amazing day and I’m so pleased with this image. I hope you guys enjoy!
