There were major road works going on in front of the police station, and the police cars were now parked on the square.
Belgium encouraged its citizens to take exercise and go for walks or cycle every day, alone and keeping social distance. It was very enjoyable to benefit from this encouragement.
Using Stellarium a few weeks in advance to gauge the "best" evening for this alignment met with a happy coincidence of clear skies following a warm, sunny, cloudless day in the South West of Britain on Sunday the 24th of May.
The trio of objects visible here from left to right include a Waxing Crescent Moon, and the planets Mercury and Venus.
Only after I'd taken this shot during editing and review did I discover some other interesting aspects about what I'd captured. There's a sun pillar above the where the sun set - a vertical shaft of light that is just visible here. The bright star Capella is also barely visible in the top right corner of the sky. The time of capture - 9:51pm - puts the sun approximately 6° below the horizon (this was about 40 minutes after sunset) which is on the cusp of civil twilight and nautical twilight.
