A gadget I got Dave for Xmas: you can record a ten-second message, and it then plays it back when the motion-detector senses something.
Well, the photos of stuff you could definately recognise didn't last long, did it :)
Can we all guess what the "gloop" is at the end of this alien bud ?
Looks like something alien, huh? :)
I saw this in London Zoo and was mesmerized by the cool color. Talk about "Pimp My Jellyfish". The water around the jellyfish was originally blue (from the light) but I darkened it to emphasize the jellyfish. Hope you liked it.
Alien Coffee Klatch well officer when I walked into my double wide I saw these two strange glowing fellers sittin on the couch drinking coffee and Mawmaw and her chihuahua was kinda hoverin' in the air with a blank look, so I grabbed my Polaroid and took this here pitcher, that's the last I remember...look on the back maybe they signed it?
"All you can do is smile" said the balsamic vinegar to the olive oil as their white alien friend (reflected on the left hand side) told them a joke about a power outage that lasted more than a week in NJ during Nov of 2011 .... when I took this photo at a friend's house, who was lucky to have electricity, I was still waiting for the electricity people to finish their restoration efforts in our area. Between us, this is a sad joke!
Alien-like flowers, fruits or what? - National Museum of Singapore.

The second of two semi-static posed figures is complete. This version depicts the creature as it appears in the deleted "crab-walker" scene from the 1979 film as Lambert and Parker make a desperate attempt to escape the Nostromo. This deleted scene however was thought comical by many, not well executed on film and revealed too much of the creature...reducing it to nothing more than a man in a rubber suit...something Ridley Scott was avoiding by using smoke and shadow.
Hand sculpted, hand painted. 1:18 scale. I borrowed resin cast parts from the original Alien figure I created a year earlier, made modifications to the torso, neck, shoulders
and legs.
When crouched or "crab walking", the figure is approx. 3" high from highest point on head to the feet. When standing, the figure is approx. 5.25" high, still not fully erect as the leg and hip joints limit the full motion (again, this was originally meant to be a static posed figure). Fortunately I was able to add several articulation points to the figure: Ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Vacuum formed PETG dome is removable. The tail is static but is attached using a revoltech joint and can be switched out with a longer tail option.
Original was sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt, a two part epoxy. Parts were cast in resin and assembled to build this version. Used Model Masters Polly Scale and Tamiya acrylics.

Alien Queen from Mcfarlane toys that was released a few years back. I had her sitting in a box and just dusted her off to take a few shots. These 2 were the best of the bunch.
This alien face sculpture is original and sculpted by me, Jane. He has many colors of swirling strands of cosmic energy on his face. These strands are made of twisted polymer clay. They undulate and seem to vibrate with energy. As I understand it, the colors and shapes convey his feelings and thoughts.
His eyes are made from clear glass cabochons. I hand painted the back of the glass to get the effect I wanted. His eyes look a glistening green! This alien's face changes with the light and angle that you view him with! He does look a little scarey, but he is really a pretty nice alien.
When visiting the Valley of Mo'ara on the Alpha Centauri moon we call "Pandora," keep an eye out for native wildlife. I found this exotic creature just off the walking path leading to a repurposed laboratory that offers tourists the chance to link with an avatar flying on a mountain Banshee.
It is a surprising example of parallel evolution, as it closely resembles a southern leopard frog found on earth. (Perhaps it really is an Earth frog inadvertently brought to Pandora by the Resources Development Administration.)
Looks like Xlortho just got an email! I wonder who it's from? One of his pod mates? His maternal birthing unit? The Galactic Senate?
Nope, it's just from a Nigerian prince.
Drawn in Photoshop on the graphic tablet.

The alien never smelled anything so divine. He risked getting spotted, but he couldn't seem to drag himself away from the other-worldly aroma.

The head sculpt is a better likeness of Sigourney Weaver than it might appear. Personally, I think the Aliens sculpt was better but that might just be because of the hair. Ripley has a bruise or graze on her forehead. Very subtle paintwork and kudos to NECA.
