Alien I by Alfalfa - Ciudad Vieja

I love these purple Tibouchina flowers, the middle almost looks like an alien or a sea creature. I think this fills the frame.

I made this new shirt for teddy and an alien mask for him. He has been pretending he is an alien all day.

Teddy is so excited about Toy Story 3!! We can't wait to go see it. There will be more Toy Story shirts in honor of the new Toy Story movie :)

I can make this shirt for Dal and Pullip too. I think the Dal size will fit Blythe but I don't have a Blythe so I can't say for sure. See my profile for more info or FM me if you're interested.

ARVO Brothers - Alien Project

Alien ship from Independence Day.

This is a manipulation of a smoke photo. The figures that are present result when the original smoke image is flipped on itself in different ways.

The coloring in this case is a simple hue adjustment. there was some slight color in the original smoke photo, but only in parts of it. That's why some parts look trasparent white and other parts have the color.

I thought this one was pretty cool, but the sparseness of comments makes me wonder if that belief was not held by many. Oh well.....perhaps the next two will fair better, but maybe it's not the season for aliens.

This is the birthday gift I've built for my friend "ALIEN" great fan of Alien saga.

Its my Ripley's and Alien queen cubedude version. I modified eyes of cubedudes because I thought it could give more expression than those used by the original creator of cube dudes: Angus McLane. It's just a feeling.

Hope both alien and lego fans will like ;)

Great Movie Ride

Alien

This is "Alien". You are with Sigourney Weaver aboard the spaceship Nostromo. Something has gone wrong. One by one, the crew has vanished, and somewhere in the ship, a terrifying creature waits to claim its next victim. Warning! Remain in your vehicle. The area you are entering is extremely dangerous. Proceed with caution!

By far the most difficult portion of this ride to photograph.

Paint progress on "The Beast "- ALIEN 79 - 1:18 scale. Moving right along with the paint apps to the head sculpts. I have multiple head sculpts made for the creature and several for the beast from Alien: Isolation. Many have made their opinions known about whether or not the skull should be seen through the front of the dome. In my next blog entry, I will elaborate my thoughts about when it should..and when it should not be shown and how it has influenced my choices when painting the head sculpts. More to come as always!!! ‪#‎alien‬ ‪#‎nostromo‬ ‪#‎giger‬ ‪#‎painting‬

Special thanks to Laura and Nathan.

Macro Mondays "tv shows"

The second of two semi-static posed figures is complete. This version depicts the creature as it appears in the deleted "crab-walker" scene from the 1979 film as Lambert and Parker make a desperate attempt to escape the Nostromo. This deleted scene however was thought comical by many, not well executed on film and revealed too much of the creature...reducing it to nothing more than a man in a rubber suit...something Ridley Scott was avoiding by using smoke and shadow.

Hand sculpted, hand painted. 1:18 scale. I borrowed resin cast parts from the original Alien figure I created a year earlier, made modifications to the torso, neck, shoulders

and legs.

When crouched or "crab walking", the figure is approx. 3" high from highest point on head to the feet. When standing, the figure is approx. 5.25" high, still not fully erect as the leg and hip joints limit the full motion (again, this was originally meant to be a static posed figure). Fortunately I was able to add several articulation points to the figure: Ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Vacuum formed PETG dome is removable. The tail is static but is attached using a revoltech joint and can be switched out with a longer tail option.

Original was sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt, a two part epoxy. Parts were cast in resin and assembled to build this version. Used Model Masters Polly Scale and Tamiya acrylics.

Shock! Horror! Alien 'fossil' discovered on Higger Tor.

Have you ever wondered how a certain set would look like if it was built not for playing, but for look? I did, but I never thought I would do it myself. Yet here is the 7050 Alien Defender, even more awesome than before! It has better functioning weapons en wheels (by the way, they're made out of heads) and other upgraded stuff, like rear- and headlights.

Sorry I didn't uploaded for a while, I was very busy with school and my camera went on holiday ;)

Did a load of alien concepts today as a pitch for a possible book series.

Here's a few of them

I painted this on my front porch during the hot days!

Painted on a 60x40 8mm mdf board pre-painted white all round!

Painted with acryl metallic which gives it a nice effect upon different angles!!

Ventura, California

This Alien Art Sculpture has a pretty face shaded from deep purple to light blue. Her face is surrounded with waves of twisty color that seem to undulate and vibrate. This is part of her skin! Her beautiful blue eyes also have a shimmering gold color in them. Atop her head are three antennas. The twisty swirls of color also travel up the antennas.

I used clear glass cabochons for the eyes and hand painted the back of them to create the effect that I wanted. I also hand sculpted her face creating refined and delicate features. I then added all the twisty strands of undulating colors. This is all original and created by me.

Alien Vision is a software used to view images of oneself and objects in various unique forms using four modes of visions viz. Night, OId TV, Edge and Thermal, either individually or in combination with 22 secondary visual effects.
