So today is the start of my "Bird Week" where I post nothing but bird pictures. I decided to kick it off with a relatively exotic bird.
This is a paradise tanager. This picture was taken at the aviary in the local zoo. It is usually found in the South Americas. I think it looks a little bit like an alien because of its green head. Hope you guys will enjoy it. It even nicer large in my opinion.
PS: Sorry if I was a bit late in getting to some of your pictures yesterday. I just got incredibly swamped.

Alien Assimilators is an imaginative project which features a unique series of LEGO creations depicting extraterrestrial life and technology.
Story:
Its the year 2033, the mankind is struggling to survive after a overwhelming alien invasion. It is not known where the aliens came from or what they want, but they seem to be interested in harvesting all the biological life forms they find in their way. The invaders came with gigantic ships that are still patrolling above the devastated cities. They are continually planting strange massive structures which are slowly changing the earth’s atmosphere to make it habitable for their own. Hiding and ill from the changing of the atmosphere, the remaining humans are taking shelter under the ruined cities and those who are in condition to fight are organizing resistance groups in hope to repel the invaders occupation. It’s a hard war for mankind as their resistance makes a little difference in confronting the invaders. The alien forces are growing stronger and stronger with each biological life they harvest and assimilate.
About the Alien technology:
- It has the ability to regenerate and heal over time. (it must assimilate first in order to do so)
- It has the ability to take form/mutate into a combat unit or device.
- Each mutation differs from one to another depending on the type of the assimilated life form/species.
- Compatible and easily combined with mechanical parts.
Have you ever wondered how a certain set would look like if it was built not for playing, but for look? I did, but I never thought I would do it myself. Yet here is the 7050 Alien Defender, even more awesome than before! It has better functioning weapons en wheels (by the way, they're made out of heads) and other upgraded stuff, like rear- and headlights.

Happy Novvember! In much the same way as I redid the ADU mech, I've reduced the alien Crescent to its component parts and started again.
Once again, the big saucer pieces are integral to the build (although I'm honestly sick of them, they're so big and blocky!), along with the lime fins. I've also used some of the larger shells to round out the back of the cockpit, so all told this is a rather chonky build.
I started with the triangular-finned prongs, and from there the build continued. I do wish I had a third 16x4 wedge, as I've used two for the wings, and I think for maximum absurdity it would have been good for it to be the stabiliser too. No such luck though, so I made a more sensibly-proportioned fin.
This will be coming to Bricktastic in February, along with the rest of the ADU/alien invaders. Come say hello!
One of those nights you go out, brave the cold wind, come home with good hopes, just to find out the focus wasn't just right..... Bummer. So hard to get a good focus when it is so dark...
To make this weird alien doll I combined two dollar store finds, a stuffed toy and a china doll, then I hand embroidered the whole thing. --- 'cause sometimes, you know, you just gotta do weird.

Something Alien about this emergency room doctor! I brought my son Ben to Emergency Monday morning and I was getting bored waiting for the doctor. I saw a photo opportunity and asked my son to take a photo of me behind this lamp.
Luckily, Ben only had a sprained neck muscle due to a collision with his brother on second base at our family baseball game Sunday evening.

Space Aliens! — It's unlikely that this creature will be found in the recent declassified UFO investigation documents because this alien-looking creature was found right here on Earth. This creature is actually a dried up old caterpillar which happens to be of the Giant Leopard Moth species (Hypercompe Scribonia).

The same as Cello Heads but de-saturated with a small amount of color added using the color curves, just to enhance the picture a little bit. A suggestion was made that they looked a bit alien, so the name has had a little change... Also it has been noted that the bottom left one looks a little sinister....

These tiny 'wax flowers', often used to fill up bouquets, really look kind of alien when viewed from very close up.
