If I could say what I want to say; I'd say I wanna blow you away, be with you every night, am I squeezing you too tight?

If I could say what I want to see; I want to see you go down

on one knee, marry me today.

Guess, I’m wishing my life away, with these things I’ll never say

Sderot, Israel. Less than one kilometer from the Gaza Strip.

This is a bomb shelter on the playground in Sderot. It's painted as a caterpillar so the children still have somewhere to play.

Parents might use night lights to alleviate their children's fear of the dark... But night lights can also be used for more joyful purposes.

I'm afraid I often look mean or p'd off and i'm usually not. I usually just feel blah with a big headache to go along :(

A simple building, just the nave chancel and a modest porch, but it hides a wealth of interest inside. A walk round the exterior reveals two saxon windows in the N nave wall, plus a Norman doorway, further Saxon details appear inside with a giveaway triangular headed doorway above the unusual chancel arch, created by W D Caroe in 1935-8. There is a fine marble font from the 18th C, a slender piece, but what I really enjoyed was the splendid sense of space and serenity here, well it would have been if the noisy jet fighters did not keep circling round at frightening speeds overhead!

Once feature you can’t help to notice is the collection of animals on the bench ends, designed by Margaret Tarrant and created by Mr Royal about 1954, these are all local animals, cats, dogs, pigs, lambs, just delightful. There is glass by the usual suspects, Ward & Hughes in the E window, Clayton and Bell in the S chancel wall, in the N chancel wall was a rather whimsical window, also by Margaret Tarrant in 1953, not really to my taste, I’m afraid. Well worth getting the key from the nearby Hall or the estate office.
