You are afraid of heights...but not much else. You condition your thighs to crack bones in the ring for fun. You spent a childhood in dark Russian orphanage...refusing to memorize poems so you could be a real person. You flew to a vast unknown to meet a virtual stranger . Left the comfort of the fine life layed before you to touch something you thought was different...to follow a dream that wasnt even alive. Now you're not even given the dignity of an old photograph. You're not afraid of anything.
But now there is tears in the corner of your eyes. I know you want me to think they are from the burning ice and the howling wind...but its the heights. Its the climb up. Its the rock that smashed your knee...the one I shook loose. I was afraid too... of your tenacity...your will and blind honesty. Why dont you protect yourself? Get out of the way. That rock seems like a stupid analogy. I kicked it accidentally...but I knew it was a bad idea in the first place...to have you there, clinging to the side of a cliff in the middle of nowhere. Even as I write the words I know it all falls on me. You would have followed me anywhere. You did once. And now your photoshopped from this picture because I dont want to forget...but I cant look you in the eyes.
If I am afraid to speak the truth,
lest I lose affection,
or lest the concerned one should say,
"You do not understand,"
or because I fear to lose my reputation for kindness;
If I put my own good name before
the other's highest good,
then I know nothing of Calvary love.
Simon hates (in no particular order) water, bridges, and metal grates. He wouldn't go near this open metal grate walkway over the dam. In fact, I'm surprised he got this close!
I am afraid that too many people have decided to take the wrong path. A knee jerk reaction to what is portraid as a broken America.
It is my belief that soon we won't resemble America at all. We will be far from it.
Socilaized medicine. Socialized financial district. Socialized education system. All wrapped up in a flashy pop design to make you feel good about it, until you get home and play with it for a couple of weeks. Then you will get bored and frustrated with it and want to throw it away in favor of something new.
But there won't be a way to undo this one. This one will cost us big time. This one will be painful.

We collected problems on the North (Serb) side of the Ibar river, and sent them to the South (Albanian) side of the Ibar to be solved. And vice-versa. The goal is to afraid the pigeons. It does not work.
Saturday June 27th 2015. Those days, it's moving period in the Province of Quebec; each year is like that and today is no exception! Lots of people are moving and so is my niece. My sister and I have then decided to make the round trip to Montreal to help her. Since she does not have any big furniture, we will make 4 to 5 small trips from one apartment to the other, with the help of her boyfriend into my new Corolla. It's a hot day and we are a wee tired but at least the new place is on the ground floor.
I take lots of pictures and I even ask Kaven, Gene's boyfriend, to take some too. He will be my "invited photograph of the day".
At the end of the day, we have an excellent supper in a microbrewery. Back to Quebec City is without any problem.
