Scott is such a wimp.

My niece had been knocked over by a wave at the beach and was terrified to go near the water when we visited Myrtle Beach for Dad's 60th birthday. We took turns sitting in the edges of the water where the waves were barely lapping over our toes, gradually moving closer to the bigger waves. This is a shot of her with my mother and aunt, who helped her jump the little waves that come in after the wave breaks. By the end of the day, she was even deeper than this, but this was one of the first moments when she was truly no longer afraid of the water's edge.

Graffiti in a San Francisco, California sidewalk remarking that "I'm not afraid of dying, it's the thought of being dead". Well, that's why there are therapists.

Tenía miedo, tenía miedo de que las cosas no salieran como quería; tenía un esquema casi perfecto en mi mente de todo lo bueno y lo malo que podía pasar, pero al final, nada terminó siendo como pensaba.

I'm in one of those 'random' moods again. >:D Yeah. I don't know what I'm gonna call this thing. All I know is, it's very odd looking and needs serious help.

Be afraid! Be very afraid!!

I’m afraid I gave the wrong impression for my Tuesday class, Bangkok Late Night Party Celebration. In my last newsletter, I wrote about how the menu for this class — especially the Drunken Noodles — goes so well with Thai beer. One of my students showed up with a six-pack of Singha Thai beer and I had to explain that we cannot serve beer with our public classes. Fortunately, he graciously accepted my explanation and thoroughly enjoyed the other dishes which followed, including: Thai Prawn Cakes, Chicken with Rice and Dipping Sauce, Beef and Basil Stir-Fry, and Hot & Spicy Vegetables.
