Happy 7th Birthday Thumper! Age is mellowing the big brudder, but he's still the most temperamental, grouchy, pushy, mean old man in the house. And I say that with the utmost love and affection, lol.
Hello, my name is Sandy! I am a beautiful girl, inside and out. I am about 2 years old and I weigh 39 lbs. I love people and other dogs. I am a sweetheart and I love to cuddle. While I was outside on a walk, I stopped for some affection and love. I burrowed my head into the volunteer's jacket and we snuggled. I just soak it all up and enjoy it so much. I am a good girl, a smart one who knows behavior commands like "sit," and I even take treats very gently. I am housetrained, too. So, as you can see, I'm a super awesome dog just waiting for my forever family to find me and take me home. I had a good life before coming to the shelter. Sadly, my owner could no longer afford to take care of me and so I ended up here. I did well on my temperament test with both male and female dogs and, according to my former owner, I'm good with children, too. I have an easy-going, mellow personality with a fun and playful side. I love to run-run in the yard and to play with toys, but more than anything I love to love. Please give me a chance to become your newest family member. Adoption fee: $75. Adopt a pair: $115. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, 60 days of free pet insurance and microchip.
I live at the Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center at 1700 Brown Rd in Auburn Hills. You can visit me there any time the shelter is open. The shelter will not put me up for adoption because of my appearance, so my only way out of the shelter alive is through a rescue.
