You have to love little signs of affection between couples.. A touch on the shoulder – a pat on the butt.. This is one of the couples we met this weekend, and I like her hand on the broad shoulders.. I think it shows not only affection, but admiration – though I don’t know exactly why..
Maybe it’s the independent nature of the cowboy type – maybe it’s just an of appreciation for your partner as we mature. We see more in them than the sum of their parts – if ya know what I mean…
I don’t know..
But whatever form it might take, you have to love simple displays of affection between grown men and women..

and in the rigth front foreground, the back of Caleb's head..when he saw I had the camera focused on the other 3, he casually strolled over between them and the lens..I was able to nudge him over a bit. Caleb is feeling very beautiful these days..MIke took him to the groomer last week and had his huge body locks, clipped back to 1 inch. He looks like a different dog and can now feel my affectionate tummy rubs and ear stroking. I picture of just him coming soon.
A very tender moment caught, a dad and his little girl, amidst a whole group of family.
She needed a hug and had something important to tell him...
You must know by now how I treasure EMOTION in an image, how it means more to me than technical 'perfection', that the camera can achieve, the rest is up to the photographer?

Troup Head is the only site on the Scottish mainland where gannets come to nest each summer and raise their chicks. The gannets first arrived at the 50m high cliffs in the 1980’s and there are now over 1500 pairs, as well as countless guillemots, razorbills, puffins, kittiwakes, fulmars and shags. From April to September Troup Head is a bustling, noisy seabird city!
Gannets are Europe’s largest seabird, weighing 3kg and with a wingspan of 2m. They feed on fish which they catch by plunge diving from heights of 12m!
Gannets breed for the first time when they are 5 years old. The male builds a nest from seaweeds, grasses and excreta and both parents share the job of keeping the egg warm. The chicks hatch in June and the parents feed them regurgitated fish until they are ready to fledge in September. The chicks then take a flying leap off the cliff ledge, soar for a while, before landing with a splash in the sea. The chicks have so much ‘puppy fat’ that they are too heavy to take off from the water’s surface so have to paddle around for a week or two until they lose weight and are able to fly.
