Here's another shot from way back when. This was taken in the spring of 2009 in Yellowstone National Park. I had waited about two hours at this badger den for the female to return from hunting. Upon her return, her (nearly grown) kits swarmed her and they all snuggled for a brief moment before going about their badger business. I loved the contrast of emotion versus stereotype here as the badger is normally known as a fierce animal for its size.
