Padlocks on the bridge at Bakewell.
I have tried to warm the overall colour of this one because each one represented someone expressing love or remembrance up which I don't really do, so am not sure if it has really worked or not.
Mom and dad and their young teen.
I do not know why the photographer did not wait for, Ms hates the sun, back there, to finish walking through. lol
We came upon this pride of lions in the morning just settling under a tree to sleep for the day. We checked on them again on the evening drive knowing that, as sunset approached, they would be waking up. The photo in the comment box shows all the adults, six females and young males. There were also 3 cubs. The affection shown between these 2 lions was only the start of what turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of the whole trip. I will post more photos next time. There are a lot of lions in this area so there weren't many other predators. Taken in South Luangwa, Zambia.

One of my vintage photos found at a flea market inspired this piece. A portion of the photo is combined with text from a 1940's dictionary and set with resin in a copper bezel. The bezel base is a piece of brass that I milled with a leaf. Riveted to the bottom of the pendant base is a portion of a brass box that I cut apart. The chain is attached with wire wrapped recycled beads and is highlighted with wire wrapped freshwater pearls.

Usually Taj and Kita tussle for occupancy of this chair when the sun is on it. But yesterday I found them together there and Kita was washing Taj's ear!
Taj has been here two weeks exactly and Kita 5 weeks. They have come so so far.
I AM going to write the new year catch-up report about the two of them today. Please check in after a couple of hours.
Back home from a wonderful trip with a "TON" of new images to process. Thought I'd put up one from just before I left to get something fresh up here - it's been a while. These two lovely ladies are the female lions at the Cleveland Metro Park Zoo in Cleveland, Ohio (USA).
