NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - The men, women - and canines of the Los Angeles City Fire Department were actively deployed during late summer and early fall of 2020 to massive wildfires across the western United States. Among those sent forth have been highly trained LAFD members assigned to California Urban Search and Rescue Regional Task Force 9 (CA-RTF-9), including human remains detection canines Veya and Charli, seen here at the massive North Complex Fire in northern California that spanned Plumas, Butte and Yuba counties, to perform the dolorous task of safely and respectfully recovering those who perished in the flames.

Your assignment is to photograph body parts. Keep the props, or clothing to a minimum and really focus in on a body part. With that said PLEASE remember the group rules and keep it clean.
Dare: Make it abstract or hard to tell what part of the body you have chosen (please refrain from the cliche arm or leg crack made to look like a butt)
Restriction: No full face or full body shots, and as stated before no naughty areas.

The Virginia National Guard Military Funeral Honors Program hosts basic funeral honors training for 30 U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the Fort Eustis-based 7th Transportation Brigade April 21, 2021 at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I think the title says it all here, but one never knows. I hope there are many reasons to laugh at this, and if not, oink oink.
I shot this outside a favorite joint of mine this morning, hoping I'd find the perfect spot for this pair. I've used them once for a photo, but the results weren't that great.
In PP: I just adjusted the curves, then bent the green and red curves a bit for a lomo look.
Taken for Active Assignment Weekly - Circles
So, I had mentioned on someone's photo that I was having difficulty sorting through all my ideas this week and settling on just one. SO, I took the easy (well kinda) way out and just chose them all. I had this idea last night and when I woke up I just started shooting as many circles as I could before I left for church (I actually caused us to be a little late )-:
Anyways, I took probably close to a hundred but when I put them in the computer and saw them close, I had to delete a few because the angle was off or it was blurry.
WIT: There was about 45 minutes worth of square cropping done in Lightroom before I even exported them as jpegs. I knew I was going to have to make all these images the same size for the collage to work. So, I found the smallest one and in CS4 I shrunk all the others to it's size (actually 500x500 pixels to be exact).
Then I created an action that resized them and duplicated them into my blank 4500x4500 workspace. I couldn't figure how to make the action go on to the next photo by itself so I had to do that 81 times, but still easier than doing it all manually.
Once they were all in the same canvas, I started moving them around, and fortunately PS has a feature where the pictures sort of snap into place. Without that, I never would have had the patience to line them all up separately.
I tried to move them around so there was variety but with 81 unnamed layers, I didn't want to get them too out of order. Anyways, that's pretty much it.
There should be a cash prize if anyone could go through and figure out what they all are, but I am broke so don't look to me for it ;-)

So, your assignment this week is to take a picture of pants. Jeans, slacks, cargo's, corduroy, camo, or underpants...I don't care, just take a picture of pants. As long as the pants are the focus, your picture will work.
Restriction: Keep away from whole body shots, and really make the pants the focus.
Dare: Take a picture of someone else's pants? I can't really think of anything else

I have so many jeans, and I had this idea in my head of lining them all up. My best friend has a huge yard. with some small hills. I got on a step ladder and shot.
