The man who appreciates the beauty of nature and the world is much richer and happier than those who do not notice this.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to watch, leave a comment, award, an invitation to the group! :))
Thanks to those who gave simply a smile or admiration and those who remained dissatisfied. :))

Me.
"Mont Fort is a mountain of the Pennine Alps, located near Verbier in the Swiss canton of Valais. It lies on the range between the valleys of Bagnes and Nendaz, north of the Rosablanche. With a height of 3,328 metres above sea level, Mont Fort is the highest summit north of the Col de Louvie (2,921 m).
Mont Fort is surrounded by several glaciers, the largest being the Glacier de Tortin, on its northwestern side. The second largest is the Glacier du Mont Fort, located on its northeastern side. On its eastern side lies the lower summit Petit Mont Fort (3,135 m). The Glacier du Petit Mont Fort lies between the two summits. There are no glaciers on the south side of the mountain. A small lake named Lac du Petit Mont Fort (2,764 m) lies on the south flank.
The summit of Mont Fort is easily accessible by cable car from the heights of Verbier or Nendaz. The cable cars from the two valleys converge at the intermediate station (2,894 m) north of the Col des Gentianes, the upper section reaching a height of 3,308 metres. In the winter and early spring season, the mountain, including the Glacier de Tortin, is the culminating point of the 4 Vallées ski area.

It only just dawned on me a couple of days ago that while I’m always on Flickr commenting and liking everyone else’s pics, I hadn’t posted any of my own for over a year.
I guess this is partly because I’m not usually a selfie kind of girl. That’s to say I tend not to think about grabbing the phone and snapping a quick shot and certainly rarely carry a “real” camera these days. Maybe I should just pop one in my bag just in case. I suppose I’m just far too content just having me time to think about capturing and sharing the moment !!!
However, with the error of my ways now realised …… must try harder for 2018

I have been to the end of the Earth.
I have been to the end of the waters.
I have been to the end of the sky.
I have been to the end of the mountains.

The first touch of winter
A mountain landscape as beautiful as it was created by God. This purity, this beauty, covered with the white robe of winter. Everything shines in this white, a white that makes nature so breathtakingly beautiful. We could only stand there and marvel at how perfect nature is.
If you remember that it was September, it's amazing. It was the first snow in Canada this fall. The road to this natural paradise had been closed shortly before, because there was more than 30cm of fresh snow. When we drove early in the morning to the two lakes (Maligne and Medicine lake) in the Jasper Nationalpark, it was bitterly cold and icy, as in winter. The sky was overcast and it seemed the sun would not have a chance to shine that day. On the return trip a few hours later, we were able to see the most beautiful winter landscape in the month of September, which we had ever seen before. A dream and a wonder of creation. (It almost seemed like someone had opened the sky for us.)
Addition: On the way to Maligne Lake we saw a whole moose family near the road in a wooded area. An unforgettable experience for us all.
I could not and did not want to omit this picture and added it to the Canada album as well. I hope you like it too and you can enjoy it with me a little. 🍁 🍂
This photo means a lot to me personally, because sharing the unique beauty of nature with your loved one's is the greatest gift that can happen to you.

Well maybe...It seems the inhabitants of Planet Claire replicated the Empire State Plaza of Albany, New York. Going from left to right you can see The Agency Building, The Legislative Office Building, The New York State Capitol, The Robert Abrams Building for Law and Justice, The Egg Performing Arts Center and The Cultural Education Center. This image was made by stitching together three 24mm vertical shots and I wish Flickr would allow viewing at it's original size which is pretty large (9422x6373 pixels). I never really know what interesting level of distortion the stitching will introduce, maybe someday I'll learn to control it.
Happy Slider Sunday!

Flickr has endless problems for a long time. And these problems are growing every day.
1. When I want to open a group list I see this:
"Error loading groups
There was an issue loading the groups.
Click Reload to try again."
2. When I want to add photo in the group I see this:
"There was a problem adding this photo to the group."
3. I can't open notifications, it’s not working.
4. Flickr threw me out from my account on the mobile phone... And then writes that my password is incorrect, but it's correct...
5. Very slow loading of pages and opening of photos.
6. Pandas now live on everyone's page.
7. 2 days ago it was "Error - We couldn't post your comment".
8. Today I want to delete some images (gif-comments) and it’s a new issue:
”Error. We couldn't delete your comment.” (it's not my comment BTW)
9. When I click photos I see this: "We're having some trouble displaying this photo at the moment. Please try again."
10. "There was a problem retrieving your note to edit."
11. Flickr changed my album covers without any permission...
etc. etc. etc.

The magic of Northern nature... 💙💚
Sorry... sorry, my dear friends 💕. It's too much work in the office now (It's typical for November and for the beginning of December). I don't have time to be here.
But... I'll be back... :-)) SOON! 😊

I fooled this lovely rainbow trout with a little hand-tied fly. Even if the fish aren't biting, the scenery along the stream is always beautiful in the fall!
Yesterday was lovely ! Tony (Guy@Fawkes) and I had a few hours around the site of the battle of Edgehill. I hope the following info is interesting for you.
The battle of Edgehill, on Sunday 23rd October 1642, saw the army of the Earl of Essex, the parliamentarian Lord General, and King Charles' (Charles 1) army clash in the first major action of the Civil War in England. It was fought in the open fields between the villages of Radway and Kineton in Warwickshire. It was intended to be the one great battle to decide the war.
It turned out to be a bloody draw, but the king gained an important advantage. The Earl of Essex failed to break through and had to retreat northward, to the security of the parliamentarian garrisons at Warwick and Coventry. This left the royalists in command of the road to London, and control of the capital of England was the key to the war.
The battlefield is largely agricultural land and appears at first sight to be well preserved. In reality it has been extensively disturbed and several key public Rights of Way closed by the construction, in the late 1940s, of a military depot. We came across a sign saying 'You are being watched - Ministry of Defence - Private'. But we were lucky it wasn't 375 years ago in the midst of a horrible bloodbath !
My geotag is 'approximate' - sorry ! Edited using Topaz Studio - one of the 'landscape' settings which I toned down a bit ! I have two laptops, and each shows the colours differently, so I've no idea how you'll see it !

Dear friends, I wish I had more time for the wonderful world of your photos and sharing my own visual discoveries of the amazing world around us. This was one of the gorgeous sunsets when I was overloaded with work again, and could look at the magic of the evening sky only through my window. But it was so wonderful that I had to grab my camera and try to capture at least a tiny framed area of the magnificent sky seen from my balcony.
I have to sincerely thank all of you who warmly encouraged me to not disappear completely from Flickr and left small friendly reminders here and there. I hope that my current tight multi-project schedule won't last forever, and that I will be able to switch to things and creative projects of my own that allows more time for things that I truly enjoy and love.
The light, beauty, and inspiration from this wonderful scenery I wanted to share with you all.
Back to Costa Rica, San Gerardo de Dota this time.
It is really incredible how fast those little hummingbirds fly. And I've got a trash bin full of proof that it really is extremely difficult to catch them in flight. So when this Green Violetear hovered just long enough for the focus to catch on I couldn't have been more happy.

Rapeseed is used for animal feed, plus it is cultivated for its seed (rapeseed oil) that is then used as a vegetable oil in cooking.
