Yesterday morning I traveled early to the upper reaches of the Tieton River basan above Rimrock Reservoir and found 5 Sparuce Grouse. The light was poor but I managed to get a few photos. It was 37 F when I started hiking and intermittent light rain was falling so it was difficult to keep the camera dry and at the same time get photos in very dim light. Fortunately for photographers these birds are not timid. Then again, maybe it is unfortunate that people and presumably coyotes and other predator can easily approach them. There are only 2 places in Yakima County, Washington where these birds have been seen in recent years They are rare in this part of Washington State. These birds

are the Franklin subspecies.

Spotted Cucumber Beetle finds yesterday's Hibiscus bloom still interesting.

I got to last night and it was only then I realised I’d not posted a photo, needless to say I had been a little busy! This is yet another from last year.

Thanks for stopping

We've had quite a lot of rain recently, and a couple of beautiful sunrises. this is my favourite spot for capturing them: the nature reserve "Gemene Weidebeek" in Assebroek, Flanders, where traditional pollard willows still adorn the landscape.

White Moon on the morning sky

Out with the old, .......

Wonderful sunset on the river with nice "UFO"-clouds and reflections.

this morning it’s 6°C and raining…

This will be my Saturday shot and I will slide the very same image for Sunday. I am hoping you will enjoy this variation, because I did. It is so funny how a shot can live on so many different ways. I hope everyone has a pleasant Saturday.

Beautiful hawk hunting on the roadside. I am thinking red tail only because they are the most common. The experts will surely know better.

Yesterday [ September 09, 2024] the Moon was in a Waxing Crescent Phase [of 33% illumination]. Best seen in the west after the sun dips below the horizon at sunset. This is the first Phase after the New Moon.

today it´s very windy

When God created dew drops, perhaps us photographers were on Her mind. The morning sun and it's gentle rays. The beauty of a simple bokeh.

Yesterdays dawn, reminded me of that.

Perhaps He knew, that someday, someone, would create a technology, a camera, a lens, that could capture water in a way so mystical it turns a heart of stone, into that of flesh.

Yesterdays dawn, reminded of me that.

Yesterdays dawn, reminded me that simplicity, overwhelms.

Taken with my phone + DIY telephoto lens.

Good morning everyone. Just a single pic of a very colorful sunrise taken yesterday morning. As I've mentioned before it's unusual to get dramatic sunrises like this here very often so when they happen I rarely pass up taking a pic of it.

Pretty much straight out of the camera except for the crop. Shot was taken in front of the house at about 6:20AM. You can see a bit of "the pond across the street" in the bottom of the pic where the light reflected off the water of a small cove.

Thank you for stopping by...and I hope you have a most pleasant weekend.

On my walk yesterday at The Enchanted Forest I came across this lil guy. Not unusual to see them here, we often get several. What was a lil odd is it is mid December. I guess with the mild temps (today 15c YES) he is hanging around. Lots of open water so...I was practising shooting in Black and white. This GBH was maybe 20' away and wasn't nervous AT ALL (another shocker)

Straight from camera other then a crop. I struggle s shooting in B&W. Happy Day to you all.
