Today is here, and this is what was left, along with what spiders and the wind has added over time. But when the sun casts its magical rays, even what is past its prime sometimes looks quite magical and interesting.
An impression from a delicious hike up in the hills of Berkeley, California.
Trolling through my archives has brought me front and center with my memories. Memories of quiet moments spent in contemplation of various scenes, and how to best represent them in visual images. It strikes me, that I spent a lot of quiet yesterdays immersed in this activity I love. We all have our Zen practices, this is mine.
Here, a patch of flowers add a burst of color to a fence line at Pigeon Point Lighthouse along the San Mateo County coast.

Yesterday was such a sunny and warm day and perhaps even a bit overcast.
Despite this I decided it's may first week of vacation and I need to head out and if I'm lucky even find some nice flowers to photograph.
I loved how this long structure created a wonderful bokeh despite causing some of the florals to be a bit blurry.
I love the bokeh and all the colors around it creating a perfect Summer atmosphere.
Have a lovely Wednesday!
My wonderful companion for the last two months has returned home now, so I'm alone, remembering fantastic days . Despite an amazing time in Europe, one of our best nights for photos was watching the sun set on Southerndown beach, sharing the fun of chasing reflections between the waves, and catching the sun's glow. Yesterday Man is by Robert Wyatt on my playlist.

Another capture from yesterday’s surprise... The weather is still cold and windy. Even if, as one of my friends noted, I prefer snow to hot, humid weather, it has been a long winter and many are wishing for plenty of sun and some warmth... Have a wonderful day and keep warm..
This stretch of tall trees along the Blue Ridge Parkway often collects mist early on summer mornings ........yesterday, the rising sun was sending streamers of sunlight through the mist ...
Thanks for the visit ......have a nice day :-)
for the first time since Marnie died, I went to the woods in Sutton Park, my local big park, alone. I missed her company, but I have to start going out again, so steeled myself. I'm glad I went, and I hope you like the autumn colours as much as I did, who knows how long they will last? Autumn is over so soon!
My picture edited slightly in Topaz Studio.
Thank you for looking, my Flickr friends.
Every view and comment is so appreciated !

It’s getting near the end of the year so I thought I might do a few posts over the next couple of weeks highlighting some of the favourite items I’ve blogged over the last 12 months, starting with this rhapsody in pink here! The candy-themed jewellery from The Forge appeared almost exactly a year ago so technically it’s from 2015, but who’s counting! Definitely from 2016 is the skirt from the gorgeous Sia dress from Vinyl – I’ve not shown it on its own but it’s definitely great for mixing and matching, as you can see here where I’ve matched it with probably my most blogged item of the year, the stupendous Moca bikini from Imeka. I didn’t show this lovely hair from Truth anywhere near enough when it came out, but it’s a mainstore hair so still very much available. Finally two almost new items I love – the new Bento-enabled Catya head from Catwa, and the Cora skin for Catwa from Izzie’s. I think 2016 will be looked back on as the year of Bento!
