1. The caudate nuclei and putamina are markedly and symmetrically atrophic, resulting in a ‘squared off’ and flattened appearance to the frontal horns of the lateral ventricles. Note also the generalized, symmetrical and non-specific cerebral atrophy, abnormal for the patient’s age, which is attributed to the secondary white matter damage that is thought to occur in grey matter degenerative disorders such as Huntington’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.
2. The patient has genetically proven Huntington’s chorea, with a relatively low CAG repeat count at the location for Huntington gene on chromosome 4, which likely accounts for her late clinical presentation.

My arm as it was on 2010-07-21 about halft an hour after the accident. The lines on the right were from the rig that was used by SAMU to immobilize my arm.
all done now, this is what i call quality work ;-) now i can operate it downwards too.
means i can just put things on the film instead of fixing them with tape and setting up the film vertically.
im also going to build a nice wooden stand for it.

Photographic film is sensitive to X-rays, but few rays interact with it. (X-rays passing through matter is a blessing and curse)
To speed up the exposure, the photographic film is placed between two plastic screens of phosphor that glow when X-rays hit them. These are glued to the two inside sides of the X-ray plates. In the photo above, one screen remains, and one has been removed from the opposite side of the left plate. The right plate is closed.
This extra green light from both sides further exposes the X-ray plate - making a faster exposure.
The plates can be photographed using a long exposure in complete darkness when exposed to X-rays to get a bright green silhouette of an object between the X-ray source and the phosphor screen.
The plates are coated with various forms of phosphor that most often glow blue or green - and come in several sensitivities. The more sensitive the phosphor, the brighter it glows, but the blurrier the image it produces due to the crystal size.
For my images I use a HD-S screen which is a bit faster than normal and still gives fairly sharp results.
In modern X-ray units none of this hardware exists - a re-useable electronic X-ray sensitive plate is used instead. =(

Your Infantry Unit is outnumbered 8 - 1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in.
You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and mortars, and you know you're not getting out. Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.
Then, over the noise of all hell, you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter, and you look up to see a Huey, but it doesn't seem real, because no Medi-Vac markings are on it.
Ed Freeman is coming for you. He's not Medi-Vac, so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the torrent of machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come.
He's coming anyway.
And he drops it in, and sits there in the machine gun and intense mortar fire, and loads 2 or 3 of you on board.
Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire, to the doctors and nurses.
And, he kept coming back...... 13 more times..... and took about 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out.

The people did a poor wrap up of the leg. It was soaking wet still afters after the wrap. She said it was more a psychological thing to prevent me from walking on it rather than a real support. Uh yeah took that shit off.
