I leaned the xray against my father's window to shoot it....there's the pacemaker and the fracture...Tuesday I deliver the films to the orthopedic dr who will be back from ten days away...and he'll say what the next step is for the shoulder...and later this month we got back to the pacemaker dr to make sure all is well.

I had a lovely day out in the field today with Lucy Owen Filming For the B.B.C. Wales X-Ray programme that will be going on air in 2 or 3 weeks time,
yup a teeth scan says a lot....whilst hving my wisdom teeth checked out looks like my earrings were checked out too LOL

Did you know they don't use film any more? It's a phosphor plate that is read out digitally and can then be re-used.

When cutting some sheets of #XRay down to fit into #5x4 DD's I had some left overs. I cut the left overs up and tested using the Six20 in bulb using flash.
Now that I'm happy enough with these results I'm sure I'll be loading up more XRay film in this camera soon.

This setup consists of a HD-S (high speed green) phosphor screen, and a 90kV, 15 milliamp real X-ray tube with a 1.5 amp 12 volt hot cathode.
I took the photo running the tube at 60kV and around 2 milliamps.
The exposure took 30 seconds, and the green phosphor shadow was post-processed to turn it into the more recognisable negative cyan X-ray transparency.
I use an old 20D camera because X-rays DO in fact damage CCD's as I found an increasing number of hot pixels on my new camera when I first started making X-ray images.
these are the screws in my knee, the lower one was recently taken out....guess what...it still hurts. go figure
