i was teaching a camera lesson, and some guy ran up and grabbed my cam and ran off.
i got up and chased, tried to grab him while running at full speed. he slipped away, causing me to fall. i landed on my shoulder, slid... and dislocated it. this was taken after it was reset in the ER.
had to cxl an afternoon shoot, evening shoot, and a shoot for tomorrow. *sigh*
amazingly, while i chased this guy yelling "STOP THAT GUY, HE STOLE MY CAMERA!!!!", not a single pedestrian showed even the slightest concern.
even more amazingly, somebody showed up a few minutes later and returned the camera. he said he confronted the guy, basically "give me the camera" and... he got it back for me!
wow. so, there are still some outstanding citizens (albeit, i recognize the danger he put himself into by confronting this thief)...
i'm guessing my medical bill is gonna be about $2500. yeah, happy 2008 everyone. LOL.

Went to the climbing gym with my friend and roommates yesterday. I landed badly on my left foot, managing to give myself a cuboid avulsion fracture.. basically, a ligament got torn off of the outermost cuboid, taking a small chip of the bone with it.
Fortunately it doesn't hurt all that much when I'm not moving, or if I limp just right. The doctor gave me a big ugly boot to immobilize it for a while, though.
The water in this flask is very salty, i added much salt because i wanted to see the way of the water in the flask, but it wasnt enough, and at some point the additional salt wouldnt dissolve in the water any more. Maybe i can get my hands on some professional contrast agent.
