Update: I actually misunderstood what I was seeing in this image slightly. -- The cartilage loss on the inner and outer edge of the joints is the same. The larger gap that can be seen on the outer edge is there because the joints have fallen inward, rocking on the highpoint of the lower leg bone, causing a bowlegged stance and unbalance gate to my walk.

My first xray... like an excited child I stick it to the window as soon as I get home.

They took probably 15 or so xrays of my head from different angles, my neck, collar bone, left shoulder, right arm, chest, abdomen, and both legs from the knees down and then my feet. Nothing broken

i took this pic with my best friends, we went to the mall and we just had to stop at the apple store. we spent an hour there taking pics of ourselves on one of the computers. they had alot of fun effects

A while back I became fascinated with Nick Veasey's xray photography. I figured there must be a way I could create images with a similar end result but bypassing the need for the actual technology (and all the radiation that comes with it).

 

So while I was taking apart my Kaossilator to fix, I figured I would give this a try. To start, I took images of each of the individual parts. I then turned all of the images to b&w and inverted them. I then brought all of the images into one file as separate layers and began to align them while adjusting the opacity of each. After a bit of experimenting and some touching up, this is what I came up with.

 

Next project will be doing this with a camera I'm planning to take apart to convert to infrared. No promises as to when I'll get that up here though.

This xray was made 13 days after I had my right shoulder replaced. It's rather strange to know I will now set off metal detectors. I like the pattern (which may become a tattoo) formed by the staples, which were removed just after the xray was taken and I saw the surgeon. I'm driving again, but I'm also trying very hard to otherwise keep my arm in a sling. my goal is to be able to lift my 6-pound Bronica to my face primarily using my right arm by May 1.

An old 50s era vacuum tube is exposed to 40 000V, and begins to emit x-rays. The electrons bombarding the glass walls of the tube cause an eerie blue glow, or florescence. The orange portion seen dead center is the inside of the anode bell, which has become incandescent from electron bombardment. The high voltage rectifier used is a 2X2-A., filament left unheated.

After an unexpected event I am once again back on the mend after both my hands and both feet suddenly went numb back in November while snorkeling. Disk degeneration

had impinged my spinal cord, leading to this fusion of my vertebrae within my neck.

 

How much hiking form I will get back is unknown at this time... my hope is that long day hikes are not a thing of the past. I'm much better now than when this slow degenerative process suddenly came to my attention while swimming with the fish; from here it is a waiting game to see how much of the nerve damage will heal with the passage of time.

here it is, almost ready. the two aluminium crosses are made by me, they are there in order to keep the transformer fixed in the piece of pipe im using as oil proof case. they also should help to transfer the heat out of the transformers iron core into the oil. the tube is mounted in front and is fixed by the plastic stripes i attached with threads to the transformer walls. the secondary coils of the transformer are directly connected to the tube.

I always wanted to do a shot that looked inside my downhill helmet. I setup and shot the two pictures separately then overlayed, masked and slowly revealed the second shot in Photoshop

An xray of my shoulder which shattered during the fall.

this is an x-ray of my back. Look at my scoliosis! You can see it curve out to the left a bit on the bottom, and a secondary curve to the right on top. It's very mild and doesn't require any sort of treatment or anything. Probably won't progress any further.
