60ยฐ Origami Modulars (Maria Sinayskaya)
The same folding sequence applied to different rectangles - 2:3, 3:4, 2:โ3 and 1:1. The square version, although works in terms of angles and pattern, doesn't quite work in terms of layers - there is too much paper inside. Everything else from about 2:3 to the double bronze rectangle works fine.
One of my favorite Etsy shops - Wrap and Revel - is having a destash sale. Prices on pretty paper goods have been marked wayyy down. For example: premium wrapping paper that was $15-18 is now $5. Visit: www.etsy.com/shop/WrapAndRevel
Origami Icosahedron (Maria Sinayskaya)
rectangles (2:3), 10 units, no glue
Same folding sequence as here applied to 2:3 rectangles. The longer the rectangle, the longer the flap, but the difference is not visible in the finished model.

Underneath the mistletoe last night!
She thought that I was tucked up
In my bedroom, fast asleep!
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night!
Origami Kusudama (Maria Sinayskaya)

UPD By reverse-folding one of the flaps on the left model one can arrive to Nekkar Kusudama by Ekaterina Lukasheva (created in 2012):
Detail of a piece of vintage Christmas wrapping paper I won in an eBay auction for an ephemera lot late last year.
The black background makes the candy "pop".
My favorite way to procrastinate... Origami is twice more addictive when you're supposed to do something else!

SCOUT: "Why don't you unwrap the gift Paddy?"
PADDY: "Because Scout, good manners dictate that you should always open the card first."
SCOUT: "Why is that Paddy?"
PADDY: "It's because the true care and love is put into the message written inside the card Scout."
SCOUT: "Oh!" *Puts paw to mouth thoughtfully.* "And I suppose then you know who the gift comes from too."
PADDY: "Well, there is that too."
PADDY: "Look! It's a card with me on it! It was taken whilst on an adventure at Veg Out Community Gardens in St Kilda. I was playing around these wonderful metal hoops which are great for little bears to swing around on. How clever to make this card just for me! I wonder what it says? Shall we find out?"
PADDY: "Hullo everyone! Do you know what? Bears have two birthdays. Do you know what else? Today is one of my birthdays! And do you know what else? Today is my Daddy's birthday too! Isn't that a wonderful coincidence!"
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout is a recent addition to our little family. He was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Modular Origami Ring (Maria Sinayskaya)
//or is it a coaster? I'm never sure//
rectangles 1:โ3, 6 units, no glue
The model has a nice non-sliding-out lock - which will be tricky to diagram, if it ever comes to that.
