Not a favourite of mine, but the day is drawing to a close and I've spent the last few hours on the floor wrapping gifts so it seemed only right to showcase one as the photo of the day.
I still have some wrapping to do, so I'm off.
I will be trying to play catch up with your streams and such all weekend. It's going to be a busy one.

while trying to fall asleep,
I scroll through my phone
so don't feel all alone!

Sunday was my birthday! yay! I am officially 27 now. :) I spent the day hanging out with my family, and it was nice and relaxing. :) My mom picked up this really awesome red velvet ice cream cake from cold stone, so of course I had to take pictures of it. :) Thanks to my mom for being my human light stand!
This is also my first shot with my new second flash, that I got for christmas/my birthday. It's going to be fun, I can tell already!

My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout is a recent addition to our little family. He was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.

Reflecting spoons are altogether too much fun! You're going to see still more of them, my friends! I'd been looking for something big enough to fold or curl up behind the spoons. Here is a spoon and two forks lined up on some Christmas wrapping paper, proudly toeing the lines!!

A few presents for my daughter's birthday. I could have posted a picture of a plate of food from the restaurant we took our daughter to, but I thought this shot was a little less ordinary.
Well, my first attempt at the second 365 went awry. Darn Pro-HDR ghosting on the iPhone... That's not how my stream rolls.
So, here's attempt number two. One iPhone, one rather desperate looking Christmas tree, and some left over wrapping paper. Voila! I made two days of 365 even with a hiccup.
Canon 6D + 100mm Macro f/2.8
Looking at the CP of Rhombic Flowers (Eric Gjerde), you can detect three molecules, so I folded them on a small grid 1:32 and then you get different images. They are all folded from white glassine, but to give the faces some color, I used two sheet of different color as background. See other face here and here. And the star here. Which one do you like ?
I also tried to fold it with colored paper, but got a bit 'crazy' of the pattern-lines, so I stopped. It still remains a interesting figure though, it's my variation of Rhombic Flowers by Eric Gjerde.
I decided to use recycled paper products to wrap christmas gifts this year. I used kraft paper as wrapping paper, and made a reycled paper bow instead of using a store-bought plastic ribbon bow. I seriously don't know why they don't maker paper bows; it only makes sense considering the fact that people just throw it away after they open the gift.

It's Christmas time, which means that Sinatra comes out of her yearly hibernation to snap a Christmas photo for all of my Flickr friends.

On a side note, I feel like I nailed the lighting for this shot! Maybe it was the white paper giving me a white balance, but dang! Dis' gurl looks fine!
It was my bosses birthday today and she was celebrating a milestone birthday and so we all chipped in for a present. I was put in charge of buying and wrapping and look what colour the wrapping just happened to be.

Cousin Paddington is a recent visitor to our family. Travelling all the way from London, he was caught in transit thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, so it looks like he is stopping with us for a while. The more I look into his happy, smiling face, the more attached I am becoming to him.
