“Protection” Witch Bottle.

As symbols of protection I used: salt, dill, black pepper (peas and ground), ginger, dried nettle leaves, lemon peel, pins and needles, rowan berries, sage leaves, red thread, hand-made pentagram.

Every time I put an ingredient inside the bottle I said:

”___ that protects, protect my home and all within”.

My nieces and I worked on making our own version of a witch's shoe. I'm not as talented as they are, but I liked my shoe anyway. Witch's are supposed to have lumpy shoes - that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Happy Halloween Flickr friends!

Ellezelles is the center of "Pays des Collines", a landscape of hills in the southern part of Belgium where the ghost of Quintine de la Glisserie (a witch burned in 1610) is still wandering around.
