Bow Bridge is one of Central Park’s most iconic structures. It was built between 1859 and 1862 and is shaped like an archer's bow.
This particular image was taken during a snowstorm in Central Park, New York City. Bow Bridge sits covered by a beautiful layer of freshly fallen snow as the buildings that line Central Park West sit in the distance just past the snow-laden trees.
I had a request for this image in black and white (you can view it in color in my top photos folder here) recently for a client. Figured I would finally share it here!

This appears in my recently released New York photography book!

Lake Ontario in the winter is an amazing sight; the Oakville area is especially beautiful this time of year. This week we took time to go down and explore the crisp air and fresh fallen snow hoping to get one or two shots for the album. We got some real beautiful images. This shot was my first test shot just to set up my aperture and get ready to start capturing images, I will post more later.

This was taken late winter when the fog rolled in and rain started. This set of trees sit out in the middle of Busch Wildlife Lake #33.

When i heard snow was forecast i knew I'd better bring my camrea to work... stopped on the drive home to snap this tree and a few others - but this one (the first one) was the best becuase of the bit snow fluries falling everywhere. -these are the real deal not added in photoshop - though I did enhance the green ever so slightly in iphoto....View On Black

Hope you like this lovely wintery scene as much as I do and many thanks for viewing all. Cheers ;)
A long-exposure photograph capturing star trails as seen through the bare silhouettes of winter trees. The sky's rotation, centered around the North Star, creates concentric light patterns that contrast beautifully with the stillness and darkness of the forest canopy. The leafless branches stretch upwards, framing the cosmos and adding a sense of depth and structure to the celestial motion. This image was likely taken over several hours during a clear, cold night, blending astrophotography with terrestrial still life.
As I walked to the Metropolitan Museum of Art the big red umbrellas furled during the winter reminded me of those Italian Cypress trees of Tuscany.
Today we had no rain, *and* some winter sunshine. Thank Crunchie for that.

Roath Park and lake, Cardiff, 6 January 2012. Low afternoon sun catches the browns of this winter tree.
