Does anyone remember the shot I took of this building last winter, in the beginning stages of the raising! (see below) . . .
Think they're almost ready for their summer yachting crowd!

I've photographed these windows so many times, but I still love this time of year with the snow in the background. Happy Window Wednesday, everyone . . . better "late" than never!
I took this shot for Window Wednesday back in January. It's a bit wonky isn't it....but I have no idea where I took it! Somewhere round Brisbane is as close as I can get.
Happy Wonky Window Wednesday.
The Lloyd's building (sometimes known as the Inside-Out Building) is the home of the insurance institution Lloyd's of London. It is located on the former site of East India House in Lime Street, in London's main financial district, the City of London. The building is a leading example of radical Bowellism architecture in which the services for the building, such as ducts and lifts, are located on the exterior to maximise space in the interior.
I don't have a very big archive and the recent hot and steamy weather in Brisbane has not encouraged us to head out for photography. So I did have a dig around the archives and found the Tasmanian shots as well as a few others from past holidays.
If I give you the date of 15 April 2019, it may suggest to you where this wonderful stained glass church window is, or perhaps was. This of course is inside Notre Dame Cathedral as it was before the fire back in 2013. I don't know whether this window was subsequently destroyed or saved. If anyone knows, let me know. I put this in for (Happy) Window Wednesday.....as to whether it ended up happy specifically or very sad I just don't know. At least the Cathedral is being rebuilt.

Down in Hamilton Ontario.
It is funny. I am not that far from Toronto but there is a big diversity to shoot from in Hamilton. Literally over a hundred waterfalls to the waterfront. Industrial steel plants and vibrant downtown.
I love Hamilton.
Happy Window Wednesday
The main floor hallway in the Hegeler-Carus mansion looking out to the grand side entrance. Restoration is a slow and expensive process in the 57 room historical mansion finished in 1876. Each room runs a half million dollars or more. Water damage from leakage from one of the 8 bathrooms is a big culprit, but "old age" is the biggest..
