Week #32 Urban Fragments - Bear Bench in Grass Park. This bench is on the main street in downtown Brooklin, Ontario, Canada. Unfortunately the bench is exposed to the elements all year and the wood is deteriorating. Hopefully the town will do something to restore and protect it soon.
The camera, with its 'hood' on, has resulted in a reflection shape that looks like a daffodil to me!! :)
Still catching up with the 52 weeks groups...
The theme for week 32 in the 52 weeks of pix 2013 group was Planes, trains or automobiles.
So here is a picture of a couple of trolleys taken outside the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine.
The Seashore Trolley Museum was founded in 1939 with one open trolley car, No. 31 from the Biddeford & Saco Railroad Company. Today, the collection contains over 250 transit vehicles, most of them trolleys, from all over the United States, Canada, and many other countries. They are the oldest, and largest electric railway museum in the world.

Next in Line 11th-August-12 - if you notice to the upper right hand side there is a chaffinch waiting behind the robin to get to the food :-) using this for this weeks theme of Olympic Spirit :-)
One the way home the pup and I took bit of a detour to cool off in a lake with very low water levels. Never thought you'd hear someone say it, but we really need some rain in the Seattle area. (2015:32/52)
Week 32
Theme: In Motion
Taken August 12, 2012
Another busy week, and I've been too tired to bother wondering around outside for a good moving subject. Searched around the condo and found some dice.... perfect idea!

At one time this was a beautiful hotel set in the wonderful surroundings of Belleisle Country Park. There has been change to ownership all sorts of debate about refurbishment and car park space which appeared to go on and on!!
What you see are the remains of a fire that has now delayed whatever plans, that might have been agreed upon, further back!!

Tomato-like seed pods from our Yukon Potato plants. We are currently fermenting the seeds, to separate out the good seeds.
WARNING: The berry is packed with poisonous glycoalkaloids, 10-20 times that contained in tubers that have turned green. Don't eat them!

Our Daily Challenge ... when the music stops ... I go for a ride with my little mate. Today we went to the river. It was lovely and cool and quiet.
We used to go for long walks on the beach but at almost 16 years old and with bad arthritis, Joe now rides in the basket of my bike.

This week's 52 Frame assignment was "Night Photography" with an extra challenge astrophotography. With my workload, I unfortunately did not have much time for night photos except for the one night I worked late. I fastened my GoPro to the back of the seats and did time-lapse with 2-second exposures all the way home. Here was one of the photographs. I did a 2:3 crop instead of the GoPro's 8:7 frame.

I spend a lot of time learning, practising and performing songs in a choir and also in a small group. I'm lucky still to have a decent voice at my age and sincerely hope that I can hang on to it for a long time yet.
The image is the scarves that my choir and group wear at concerts.

Shot with a Canon Rebel EOS XS and a Canon 100mm F/2.8 USM Macro Lens only. Hand held with natural light. No effects!
for 7DoS: I love to take my camera out for a walk. Discover new things in old places. I normally curse cars for spoiling my shot but I liked the reflection of the street art on the roof of this one. Time to let go of the desire to perfect things when imperfections can work out well :)

Week No. 32: Crystal ball photography
Category: Creative / Technique
The crystal ball acts as a natural frame to capture the scene directly behind it, albeit upside down. The effective focal length of the crystal ball is similar to that of a fisheye lens.
A crystal ball is a common fortune-telling object... In more recent times, the crystal ball has been used for creative photography with the term lensball commonly used to describe a crystal ball used as a photography prop. Wikipedia

Week 32/52
This week’s theme for my 52 project is “On Your Way Home.” I took a number of shots for this theme. I thought a subway picture would be appropriate. I couldn’t deal with the crowds of rush hour, but I did go late afternoon so I’d get more foot traffic. I took a lot of shots but ultimately decided on this one. The train is pulling in as the commuters are ready to board the train.
Week 32 of 52 in 2016. The theme is LONG EXPOSURE. So Friday morning I tried photographing the Perseid Meteor Shower, but the weather refused to cooperate. I saw about a dozen meteors over a short period of time, but was only able to capture two small faint meteors (see the next two photos). About 15 minutes after I started, the clouds took over, and that was it for the night. This is a 15 second shot.
