So much going on, I honestly feel like my head is about to explode sometimes

Day 52 Revisit

I had a blast shooting motion photos at our annual Fireman's Carnival. Glad I captured this when I did because just moments later, my camera died. It's now in the shop :(

I really had a difficult time deciding which motion photo to choose. I really liked the one of my friend's daughter on the swings and still am not sure if I chose the right one to submit....

cc always welcomed

The Mazza Summer Conference was two weeks ago. Each day the founder of the museum dressed up as an Olympian to start the first session. I made this picture today. It is a mosaic of all the pictures from the conference. Look closely for some famous authors and illustrators. The full set is here.

That Saturday I managed to give a go to painting with the light. I bought a mini maglite a few weeks ago, but my DS got hold of it and left it somewhere in our house. He couldn't remember where and I couldn't find it. So I bought another torch and the following day I found the first one in my son's tool box.

Unfortunately, I had some problems settling my DD in bed, so I could try the technique only this weekend.

First I needed to make a cone. It was not so easy to find a suitable piece of paper. There're lots of magazines in our house. "Juniors" cover was the best, but I needed some kitchen foil.

I took about 75 shots. I didn't noticed how the time passed.

Mir:ror packs were given out free at one stand at Assembly '09 and luckily got myself one. I don't really like the software it uses but otherwise a fun gadget.

Mir:ror is an RFID reader and comes with three RFID badges and two of these Nano:ztag bunnies that have an RFID tag inside them. I'm interested in RFID and a free set of these was a nice thing.

The 52 in 2017 Challenge for Week #32: Urban Fragments

I was struggling for this this week until I looked up and saw reflections of the window on the underside of the overhang in the windows of the storefront. Aha!

52/2013 - Give us your best shot, week 33.

Most likely this is Emilie, but I can't remember.

Week 32 out of 52 Weeks for Dogs for my Colby

I returned the x-small size life jacket for Colby because it was a little bit too small. I couldn't quite get it closed around all his fluff. The small size came in the mail, so of course he had to try it on. It's a little bit big but it velcros around his abdomen nicely and should work just fine. Can't wait to try it in the water, although Colby probably feels differently.

We've completed all of our "baby classes" so now we're all ready! No worries, we have all the answers.

Methinks I need a haircut.

I took week 31's photo with my sister's camera and now who knows when she'll have a chance to email it to me, what with her not having a computer and all... *sigh*

This is the scene, on the floor, behind my desk!! I absolutely hate, with a passion, wires and the whole tangled mess that always happens regardless of how many cables are lying about ..... wires and cables come to life in the dark, they must do!!

This week also had me a bit stumped, but a chance encounter near Oxford Street gave me an idea. Not the traditional false persepctives, but I've always been pretty rubbish with those anyway.

2019P52 Week 32

Gemünden am Main

10.08.2024

Five of Cups ~ This card is about looking back at things that have happened with regret and with the feeling of “If only I had done… or not done… or I wish I had done… or not done”. It is focusing on what has gone or has been lost and not able to see the good that may have come from the situation.

It is a card of loss, disappointment, sadness, suffering and possibly depression. There can be a feeling of being emotionally let down by someone.

This is a card of great loss, trauma, distress and possibly grief. It can indicate grief through bereavement or raw feelings and emotions when someone is going through a relationship break-up.

It can also be that someone is acknowledging mistakes of the past, although they may not yet be quite ready to turn around and look at the present or look forward to the future.

Week 20 of Embracing Pluto:

You can be pulled into someone's drama now before you even realize

what happened. Although you probably have plenty of complications in

your life, there may be a few more yet to handle. Even if there's a

storm brewing around you, the good news is that you're feeling more

centered. Don't be tricked into thinking that you will lose a chance

at success unless you act decisively right away. The truth is that

even the smallest steps can lead to major improvements.

With fellow 365 members Wee Robbie and Cooliceblue down by Virginia Water.

This shot was a lot of fun to do, as we had to run from the cameras as the timers ticked down, and avoid falling into the lake as we jostled for position at the side :-)

52 Weeks - Week 32

I miss being inspired.

I miss simple maths.

Domino" 7 Days of Shooting" "Week #32" "All Your Heart Desires" "Geometry Sunday"

It was a beautiful afternoon in West Bloomfield.

August 7, 2010.

Last summer at the Flickr Meet-Up we went to Saint John the Divine for some photographic opportunities. It was a truly fantastic weekend.

Self Portrait - Not the shot that I was hoping for this week's challenge! Feeling a bit under the weather today - hopefully it's no more than a cold (the reading was 99F = 37.4C, so a bit high)

7DOS. Minimal Sunday. Loathe or love.

Yet again I ran out of time this week to set up a shot for this week's 'motion' picture. So, taking advantage of the timezone difference to just about get this in as a Sunday submission here is 'motion'.

Image was taken at the Bristol Balloon festival and is of the Blades aerobatic team doing their stuff. I figured there was a fair amount of motion in the image from the plane's props to the slight camera shake so it kind of fit the bill.

Image was taken on a Nikon D700 fitted with a Sigma 70-200mm 2.8.
