So the past 2 week have gone a little sideways on the exercise regime.
I overdid it and aggravated an old injury. And I had a house guest.
I know. Excuses.
I need to get back on track, but I also need time for people in my life and can't be constantly aggravating old injuries.
So the new plan is to shoot for 4 days of exercise a week with a field of error of +/- 1.
Wish me luck!
My entry to Moda Bake Shop Sliced Contest (Auditions).
This version of my week planner is designed for two family members (each member has its own row) - half of charm pack is needed to make it (for colorful parts) plus fabric for white sashing, fabrics for back and binding.
In version for four family members one charm pack is needed (for colorful parts) plus fabric for white sashing, fabrics for backing and binding.
It can be also used at the office.
Corners of each square are pockets to put there cards with plan for each day of the week or another information. These corners were made from 1/4 of charms and they are sewn between the rows.
Buckle is used to indicate day of the week. When the day changes, buckle is moved to another.
Depending on weight of the buckle (mine is quite heavy) buttons for secure the strip are needed.
Machine quilted (cotton batting was used) and machine bound.

I return! The wedding season is slowing down and I crave to express myself... Shooting over 30 weddings was an amazing experience but certainly prevented me from doing any personal projects. I am starting a 52 week project focused on self-portraits and any random things that inspire me. My style has changed so much. My life has changed so much... I can't wait for 2015. So many plans, trips, thoughts, feelings that need to be put into a visual story somehow! Here I go.
How:
Natural light, 50mm 1.4, remote control. Lightroom. After editing around 1000 images for each wedding I have to admit I am a Lightroom lover! Photoshop can do great things, but Lightroom does the trick for me!
it's a bit early for an upload, but i took photos today and i wanted to share this one with you.
and i had my "cooking test" today. actually it's not a real test. we have to cook and the teacher marks it.

My new macro lens arrived on time for the weekly theme. I really love it.
This was taken with in-camera focus stacking.
This week has been an incredibly stress for one for our little family and at the end of the week I decided to just focus on what was important. Lu and I gave each other new nail polish colors on our toes. Despite a weird week and pale unmanicured feet, Lu was absolutely thrilled when I told her not only could she pick out my colors, but she could paint mine all on her own <3 Focus on whats important and nothing else will matter.

I'll probably try and do a few halloween themed ones since I love halloween. I wish I knew how to do makeup. It would make this so much more fun. I might have my sister try and do one too, she does awesome at makeup.
I used a couple of brushes, a spooky brush found on deviantart.com to add some clouds and a crow brush. If you want I can find out who made the brush, I can't remember at the moment.

OMG. That means I cracked the "one month to go" barrier. I have to start measuring it in weeks.
For fun: compare and contrast with the last time I wore this shirt (at 21 weeks!) for picture day!
The whole point in joining a 52 week group that gives weekly themes is to help me think outside of the box a little. This weeks theme, fashion. UGH!
Fashion, what is it? Hell if I know. I will be the first to tell you that I have NO fashion sense, however...I am a believer in accessories and I think I've got a few good ones in my bag of tricks!

except for a bit of rain, the past couple weeks have been one of the mildest autumns we've enjoyed. After a few complications with my ruptured bile duct, then a blood infection that was hiding and took a while to find in a lab culture, and a week on IV antibiotics my gallbladder was finally evicted. I was hoping the past many months of ill health were coming to a close. Unfortunately, after a week of testing negative while admitted to hospital, I tested positive for covid on the 7th day. That cancelled my last ERCP to remove the blockages and shunt put in last month. Somewhat on hold with getting all fixed, but hoping to end 2022 much healthier. Through this all Halle Lu has been amazingly careful and attentive with me. Today I went outside for the first time and sat in a lawn chair with my real camera. Had my favourite 70-200mm lens on the Canon which I realized instantly was a mistake. Halle Lu was so excited to have me outside with her again she wouldn't go more than 10" away from me. Had to call my husband outside to lure her away. You can tell by the slight torquing of her front paw she held still for only a 1/2 second then raced back to me. She had a blast! I'm itching to be well enough to hike, play and be active with her again.
Halle Lu trivia: my husband Don needed to use chicken breast and lots of calling to get Halle Lu far enough away from me to take her pic

i'm actually pretty proud of myself for getting all the way through this project - i did miss a few weeks, but all in all, i made it. i hope my work grew throughout the process, i feel like it did. i hope.
now for 2011 :)
Week 11 - 17-24 March
Weekend of the Australian Grand Prix approaches, so before my posts get filled with cars, speed and the occasional girls, here's a buggy jumping! More next week.
Whoot! Made it to the half way mark :)
Baby peanut is growing fast 10 1/2 ounces and 10 inches long.
The halfway mark yay I only wish I was feeling better. The past two weeks I have been consistently getting headaches and have been having serious pain on my back and hips. I remember going through this pain with my son at 30 weeks so having to deal with it so early is not fun.
Can't wait to till I can finally start feeling normal and actually have some energy :/
Hope you all had a fun Halloween!

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke
