I've been back to Rodeo Beach a few times now, and every time it's different. The height of the tide, the position of the sun or the weather transforms it and the jagged rocks just into the ocean make it worth the trip. I don't think this is the best photo I've taken here, but it was the most fun. There were a bunch of other photographers there making the most of the conditions, each adjusting tripods and filter combinations, so it was good to chat and see how each of us got different results. I thought I had a good spot, but when the sun nestled between two rocks and flared out everything came together.

My second attempt at capturing a popping water balloon. I think my first attempt (flic.kr/p/dMbQsp) was better.
Week 25 - 24 Jun - 1 Jul 2015
Another really busy week gone past. I2 hour work days even through the weekend, but thankfully, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I did, however, manage to steal a few hours on Saturday to take shots of the soon-to-be-married Devine Ms M.
Here she is being serenaded to by the house band at Crown... well some call it serenading, others might just call it an intoxicated dance... it's a matter of perspective, I guess. More next week.
Pocket and leaf printing.
J'ai remplacé les impressions de feuilles par des feuilles séchées de mon jardin. La feuille de ginkgo m'a été envoyée par Anja.
This week we've been on tour! Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Michael's. Such fun! Getting to kiss all kinds of wonderful people! Great lighting, fantastic backgrounds. Oh if only I'd brought my camera! Duh...
Next week I will try really really hard for a wonderful shot.
Been a little while since i've posted or mentioned the blog here. Lots of household cleaning and organizing, unfortunately, not much photography.
My first non film submission for the blog :( i just couldn't pull it off this week.
I've been working hard to get the house under control, clear the clutter and just have less things. I've set the girls up with new loft beds and this new desk for Ayana.
it's a work in progress but lots of fun.
Year X Week 51 15-22/12/19
Christmas morning and the joy on her face is irreplaceable. A present a day for the duration of her stay followed by a house full of attention, really made her day. More soon.

my 50mm f/1.8 broke on saturday night so ordered a 30mm f/1.4 to replace it. i also sent in my 50mm f/1.4 to get fixed. i had a senior session last night & got rained out halfway through, so we'll be finishing it tomorrow.
these photos are a year old today.
my future used to look like a shiny golden promise, but now it just looks a big red dodgeball hurling toward my face.

XI Week 08 20-27/2/20
Been a weird month... never really got my camera out as much as I would have wanted to, but I did get a few in... at least enough to get my weekly postings in.
Here's one more from the streets of Melbourne. More soon.
