I was hoping to get out and about and take a photo of a fantastic looking ceiling but I've been out very little this last week. Also the weather hasn't helped - solid

grey sky - hate them. This will have to do. This is the Ron's Hide at Lee Farm Lake. Basically it's a wooden shed. It's a bit better than a normal shed. It's lined with plywood as you can see in the photo. It does have seating and as it's restricted to members only, it does not get too busy.

okay, i'm sort of cheating in that i had already taken this photo when i received this week's prompt, but i'm finding it hard to keep up without a digital camera. plus this fit the prompt quite well: Your job this week is to shoot from the ground up. Find a perspective of enchantment this week!

i adore the new green grass that grows in natural areas like this in the spring. it's so fresh, clean and soft.

off to accompany my sister to a wedding in new jersey and then a couple of days in nyc. should be loads of fun and i'm trying not to be sad that i still don't have my d90 to take with. have a great weekend everyone!

both these snowy views were taken a few weeks ago but as they fitted the challenge I thought I would cheat :)

Sorry I've been very busy this week, I've only been sleeping about an hour or two a day, if I get to sleep at all.

This is just a rushed photo, I'm so sorry T_T It doesn't have any significance or look interesting or anything.

I'm tired and I need a break =(

I messaged the impersonator and the website which the impersonator is posting the photographs but I have not heard from either one of them. This kind of sucks.

I don't think it's fair to steal my photos, calling them photos of you, saying you took the photo, you did the post processing. I feel like posting the person's link here but ah >< nevermind. Oh well.

Credits to ISOstock for the smoke.

FormSpring

A cold week but a good chance to go for a walk with my camera and take a few wintery photos.

Inspiration: #NoFilter

No limit on what you shoot this week, as long as the image is pure. No filters, presets or other edits. Basic exposure corrections only this week.

52 weeks of 2017 - spades

Trying to catch up.

The Empire State Building as seen from Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City Queens. Lit up for NYC Pride Week 2014.

This is the enormous stained glass window behind the altar of the church I attend. During services the sunlight streams through the colored glass and illuminates the sanctuary with a warm glow.

I'm so excited.

I really love these flowers in Spring. They come back every year.

Year X Week 47 17-24/11/19

Still on some of my favourite shots from this year for my shot a week. Here's one of Larkin Poe, excellent roots/blues/rock band originally from Georgia. The sisters put on one heck of a show during the Singapore grand Prix this year, and I became an instant fan. More soon.

We've been out for dinner and walked past the statue of the Pied Piper.

Week 17 (v 9.0) - stompers

Agnes, Bruno and Eva on an evening walk. The weather has turned, the snow is gone, and evening walks are getting longer.

No dogversation this week, just 3 dogs and 2 humans on a walk.

Theme of The Week - Panorama

yesterday it rained all day.

today, got up early, drove out to the country, went home & discovered that I didn't like the pictures even though I looked at them there (!), got mad, tried to use my panorama stitching program to stitch them together anyway, it was expired, found another free one that I liked, drove back out to the country, reshoot, go home, try to stitch them, too little overlap on one side, have to do it manually in photoshop... other than all that drama, I think it turned out ok

Work in progress

Street repair has started this week and is supposed to last 2 weeks, we'll see!! Meanwhile dust is everywhere and the windows will need a good washing when construction will be over

Genna and Boomer are happiest when they can run through the fields. My uncle's property is a great place with lots of open fields. This way they don't get into trouble finding something in the woods to chase or be chased. It was very wet today and they came back cleaner then when they left. This is rarely the case as they usually find burdocks or those little green beady balls that stick everywhere.

52 weeks for dogs.

This is one of my most prized possessions. My son Evan made this sign when he was about 10 years old (he's 30 now) and I cherish it. He did it on his own with some help from his older sister and gave it to me for Christmas.

"Those boys play for keeps."

I was five years old and wanted a bag of marbles of my own so I could play with the neighbor kids. My father finally relented with the warning, "Don't come crying for any more if you lose them." Happily, I ran off with my small bag of marbles.

Later, when I came home empty handed, he started to give me the I-told-you-so talk.

I said, "It's okay, Dad. I just need a bigger bag to bring home the ones I won."

and that's my marble story

reaching out... to myself

Only 8 weeks left, that's, i still remember being 8 weeks in!

I really liked this photo when i took it, but as always the remote could be seen in my hand. I tried to Photoshop it out but it looked strange so i processed it this way so i could remove it and it looked natural!

Back to uni on Sunday, Christmas holiday has gone to quick! But then again im home for the weekend in two weeks anyway so just got to get through next weeks deadlines and i can relax! (Now for my computer not to die on me!)

Oooh, and a little plug for my friend. He is trying to prove Nikon is a great HD film camera as well.

Rugelach.

Not all of us celebrate Christmas and that's why I baked "rugelach" which are popular in Jewish Cuisine and I can tell you one thing... they are delicious and I ate all by myself.

Week 22 - Story: Geometric Shapes.

I've been stuck on this one for weeks for some reason. Today I decided to go with my first shot, that I took 2 weeks ago, and just move on! My amazing Jersey girl here, who just turned 11. :)

Graveyards are a mine of pnotography opportunities especially for black and white shots so thinking of the Easter theme and obviously the crucifixion this immediately popped into my head.

This gravestone with celtic design stood out and with the background of the other gravestones and the young trees against a cloudless sky it just seemed to suit the infrared.

Shot on a Panasonic G3 converted for infrared photography, processed in Lightroom and Silver Efex.

Lily sure looked peace-ful and I was sure envious! One more week ....
