One of the starlings nesting on the roof of my uncle's barn, this beautiful Easter Eve morning.
I actually didn't see the flies before I looked at it on the computer ツ

We should be under a severe thunderstorm warning by now.
If it is ever issued, it will be far too late to be effective here.
It is getting darker by the minute & this one has similar timing as the last one this past Tuesday.
Hope it will do a spilt over Lake St.Clair as they have in the past. You learn to become quite a good weather observer living here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bye78kWwzJs&ab_channel=Instan...
As the kites get ready to dive they seem to turn their heads over their shoulders before folding their wings and diving straight out of your viewfinder!!! Occasionally I managed to follow one, as below.
You're probably all getting bored with these now, but it was very exciting to get some different shots from the ones I've been able to get before at the Nant yr Arian feeding station. Gigrin is definitely a better place to go for photos.
I am the watcher of the walls. I pledge my life and honor to the Wall's Watch, for this day and all the days to come.
In Lima, Peru most people don't have yards and the majority of people live in apartments in town. This being the case, those that want dogs either keep them inside or in many cases, keep them on the roof of the apartments. This guy kept his dogs on the roof of his apartment building five (5) floors up across from where I was staying in Miraflores. The dogs, being bored out of their minds, spent the majority of the day in this position, watching people walk on the streets below them five floors down.
He was telling us about how he bought it from some sketchy vendor in Acapulco. The woman selling the watch was chatting in Spanish with a friend the whole time. Gabe came forward to buy the watch and to her friend she said something like, Look, this American idiot has picked out the ugliest watch he can find! Apparently she did not know that Gabe speaks Spanish.
The dials are painted on.

This is my submission for Round 24 of Get Pushed. I was "pushed" by the very talented Dorothy to capture a bird in its natural surroundings. Dorothy takes amazing bird shots, you should check them out some time.
However, this was a very tough push for me for lots of reasons, of which the main ones are
(a) I don't have a zoom lens -longer than 85mm
(b) I'm not into wildlife photography
(c) It's been raining constantly here in Ireland for about 2 months, and the birds have gone to ground!
I made a few attempts over the past week to capture some, but was unsuccessful each time. Today I tried again, found this duck in a nice pose, and just as I was setting up, the heavens opened. The duck dived for cover just seconds after I took this, because the rain got to its shelter too.
