COntax II 1937 35mm camera; Carl Zeiss Jena uncoated Sonnar 1,5/5cm lens 1937; Kodak T-Max 35mm B&W film, Romek PQ/ 1+3 developer.

Instead of investing in some sort of digital camera system, I planted a bunch of Allium "googlyoculus". I am relieved that they are on the watch.

Something from my commercial product portfolio

A turkey at Painted Valley Farm takes a nasty spill in a ditch, apparently feeling intimidated by an antlered deer guarding his pile of breakfast feed.

Background experiments

An exterior snow-covered stairway leading down to our back garden. The property manager (me) has chosen not to shovel these steps clear in the winter!

Interpreted with a high-contrast monochrome preset in Topaz B&W to create an abstraction of snow and steps.

Collaboration comic strip among myself, Google Gemini, and chatGPT: a mash-up between vintage G.I. Joe accessory pack comic booklets and an expensive new 1/6-scale action figure wristwatch set.

Somehow, modern action figure playsets don't have quite the same "action" element as the older sets. But they could if they still included comic books!

Almost Straight of out the camera. Tried a long exposure shot to capture the motion of the seconds hand. Didn't quite capture it, maybe because of the white face of the watch. *shurgs*

Slick looking Lacroix watch...not too sure if the little moon image is quite inkeeping with the rest of the style - but still a nice little touch.

This was taken from the observation deck of the BT Tower in central London. Tickets were sold to raise money for REDR and we were lucky enough to get some.

The view of London are stunning, and it's well worth a visit. Photography wise it was a bit of a challenge. It was raining, so the windows were covered with water, plus the lighting meant there were reflections all over the windows.

My new beast ...

I got LED lights ~

Love the watch my mom got for me as a super early birthday gift? LOL!

Good thing my sister works at Fossil! DISCOUNT!

Today is my birthday! I get this watch as a gift. My parents gave it to me.

Up close and personal 'Osprey watchers' make use of 'John's Field' by RAF Mildenhall as two of the based Special Operations Group's CV-22's go about their business.

Nearest is '0063' being towed North-side while the other, '0061', makes an approach on the main runway before departing again for yet another circuit.

These birds seem to be mostly more 'nocturnal' in their operations and training activities by generally departing early evening and at dusk, out and about across the Suffolk and Norfolk countryside.

Light vessels were ships designed to perform as lighthouses in places where it was impractical to build them. Generally having no propulsion, they were towed to their stations and permanently moored there to guide other shipping. Most have now been decommissioned in favour of cheaper buoys.

This is LV16, launched in 1954 and operated by Trinity House until she was retired in 1988. In November 1960 LV16 was damaged at the South Goodwin Sands Station which, 6 years previously, had been the site of a tragedy when a previous light vessel had slipped its mooring during a force 12 storm, had drifted on to Goodwin Sands (a particularly dangerous area where The North Sea meets The English Channel) and had capsized with the loss of all hands but one. No trace of those lost was ever found. No matter what the weather, light vessels remained on station making it hazardous work. Having no propulsion they were entirely at the mercy of the elements.

The photo was taken at dusk to take advantage of colours from nearby street lighting

Like yesterday, Jax followed Diane intently while she was doing yard work today. The difference was that, unlike yesterday, he could only follow her with his eyes. She was working in the old raised-bed garden area, which is a mess of mud and overgrown brambles right now in the middle of winter, and we didn't want Jax making a complete mess of himself in there -- not good for his heart condition, probably. So he had to watch her through the picket fence, and he didn't like that very much.

We just got this with a big pile of chocolate in a care package from a German fan! I'm really thrilled !
