I watched these two Lionesses chasing Impala, unsuccessfully.
They came to rest on a hill and were staring intensely at a large herd of Buffalo below.
And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.
~ Roald Dahl

The Colon Cemetery, or more fully in the Spanish language Cementerio de Cristóbal Colón, was founded in 1876 in the Vedado neighbourhood of Havana, Cuba on top of Espada Cemetery. Named for Christopher Columbus, the 140 acre (57 ha) cemetery is noted for its many elaborately sculpted memorials. It is estimated that today the cemetery has more than 500 major mausoleums, chapels, and family vaults.
The first impact of Colon Cemetery is a seemingly endless succession of tombs blinding white in the midday heat, few shade trees and nowhere to sit. In front of the main entrance, at the axes of the principal avenues Avenida Cristobal Colón, Obispo Espada and Obispo Fray Jacinto, stands the Central Chapel apparently modelled on Il Duomo in Florence. On every side rectangular streets lead geometrically to the cemetery’s 56 hectares, designed by Loira to define the rank and social status of the dead with distinct areas, almost city suburbs: priests, soldiers, brotherhoods, the wealthy, the poor, infants, victims of epidemics, pagans and the condemned. The best preserved and grandest tombs stand on or near these central avenues and their axes.
With more than 800,000 graves and 1 million interments, space in the Colon Cemetery is currently at a premium and as such after three years remains are removed from their tombs, boxed and placed in a storage building.
Second part of my attempts to shoot cheap watches like expensive ones (in this case, a $13 Chinese watch)

Equipped with a Timex Weekender wristwatch for, appropriately, a weekend hike on the Raven Trail in Kanab, Utah USA.
The Timex Weekender, model T2N745, does exactly what I want a wristwatch to do: it keeps time accurately, displays the time clearly, and I never have to think about it or worry about it. This isn't a fashion or "jewelry" watch to pamper, it's a functional watch to use. Through dirt, dust, mud, and water it does the job. Not too big so it doesn't get in the way, but not so small as to be hard to read, with no extra buttons and no excess gadgetry to clutter up the face, not even a date window, the simple, minimalist Weekender is definitely one of my favorite wristwatches ever.
Series: Timex Weekender
Model: T2N745
Case material: stainless steel
Movement: quartz
Diameter: 38mm
Strap: 20mm
The Forbidden City are full of tourist, of course, but also full of workers in charge to keep the place clean all the time. They sometimes take a break, not to enjoy the beauty of the place, but to study the behavior of visitors. Seeing them frozen in the middle of a tourist group gave the impression of people who seems to be lost even if they are supposed to play locally! A hight contrast between the people who come here to enjoy and discover for a couple of hours, ant the others who are here every day, to work.
This is China.
Through the mist we stumbled on Sigöldufoss, a waterfall along the Tungnaá in the Highlands near Hrauneyjar, Iceland. The falls are located in the natural channel of the Tungnaá between two hydroelectric dams and their reservoirs. The dams are part of an extensive hydroelectric project in the upper basin of the Þjorsá. Although the upstream power plant often siphons off the majority of the river below the lake Sigöldulón, the day we were there a good volume of water was going over the falls in 2 distinct segments. The falls plunge can range from 33 feet to 36 feet high depending on the water volume and occurs in a 200 foot wide horseshoe-shaped recess. The color of the water in the Tungnaá is due the fact that it is usually very silt-laden. Downstream the river follows a short canyon and discharges into the inlet of the lake Hrauneyjalón.
Every 30 min, there is a show outside the mall of Dubai, fountains and music draws a crowd every time.
I did not get close to the show, so I decided to shoot the spectators
just watching the world go by and youth slipping through my fingers.
OK too deeeeep I was only watching the birds in the garden and thinking I should mow the grass.
Its been a long week so far can't wait for the weekend as my wife and I are going up north to spend some time with two great girls.
My cat was funny, he was twitching and wishing he could grab the birds outside, I thought he was so cute and his face was so intense.
I got a few shots of this friendly Robin who was more than happy to pose for a few frames.

One again in the small sugar cane growing township of Silkwood, Queensland, the local Tully Mill has a sub-depot to house one of its locomotives during the cane harvesting season. I have no idea of it's identification, it is well locked away. Back on the road though, the signs as I have shown before are still of steam locomotives which haven't been used for over 50 years. Still, if you close you eyes one might steam out from a field of cane, heading for the mill every moonlit night. The ghost train!
