Been wanting to come up with a universal fuel cell for ships for some time. It was always a fun thing as kid when to try to always incorporate the basic one at that time (2x2 round with plate on bottom and tile on top. This feels like a modern variation on that old friend. I need some 1x1 rounds in transclear for 'empty' ones. I do like the T bar on this that will act as a plug in for energy transfer conduits or the like. They are also stackable and lock in top to bottom nicely.

I have been wanting to bring this concept to life in my own artistic way for so long now. I attempted it before, in the past, but being new to any sort of editing, it did not merely turn out at all like I had hoped.
My afternoon consisted a lot of hopping up and sliding myself around a lot of a table, not disturbing a spider below me, and sticking my face too close for comfort near the colony of spider webs that have accumulated on this window sill.
Despite how frightful it was at times, I'll admit, the inspiration and the drive to bring this concept to life made me so eager and almost fearless to make this image happen from start to finish.
I took a lot of inspiration for this image on a complicated feeling that I know very well myself. It's difficult to explain, but, being someone who has had her fair share of dark and down moments, it can be difficult to say that I am truly 100% happy a lot of the time. But, sometimes there is this feeling that comes over me, (and not to sound cheesy) that makes think is this what happiness feels like? Like being outside at sunset when its warm out and just experiencing nature around you or being out in a rain pour and feeling it on your skin and smelling the sweet smell of it. Even really thinking to heart about what is my definition of happiness. It's so difficult to explain, but, I visualize it as being able to take a peek at what it is to express what it is like to feel it.
I create a special blog post that is all before and after of this image, practically no talking in it since I have been doing a lot of that with my 52 weeks project. You can see the post, here.

This little fellow hit the window of our terrace really hard. It looked a bit stunned and didn't move much for a while, so we took it in for a while in the warmth of a cozy living room, as it was freezing cold outside.
This let us the time to find out that this was probably a lady goldcrest (Regulus regulus), one of the smallest passerine birds with only 9cm and 7 to 9 grams.
After a while she started moving again and showed signs of wanting to get back to chasing insects.
Once on the terrace, she was nice enough to let me take a few close pictures before flying away to the next tree.
It has been pouring with rain and windy all day --- we have a semi-mudflood outside the door! So thought I/we could do with a bit of colour - this was taken a few days ago when the sun actually shone for a few hours - :))
This Dusky Moorhen came out of the water to investigate me when I sat at the edge of the pond. After three or four minutes, examination at an end, it returned to the water with ne'er a backward glance.

South Australia is an incredible part of Australia. The variety of locations to play is astonishing. This image is taken at a place called Kangaroo Island. And these are the Remarkable Rocks. They are remarkable alright, and made for an incredible weekend of fun.
I could stay within the borders of South Australia and never run out of photographic inspiration. From lush rolling hills to the oldest rock on the planet in the Flinders Ranges. From stunning coastlines to the driest deserts, the Ball of Light is never wanting for locations.
On another note, the prints are rolling off for the exhibition coming up. It is always so exciting seeing my work in print. They truly come to life!
Peace to you all, Denis.

I've been wanting to get a shot of this tree in the snow for a while. I had planned to get closer and explore different angles but the minor roads were so bad i had to stay on the main road and walk though a sheep field to get this. But it's the sort of shot i had in mind anyway.
I've been wanting to shoot this location for a long time now. I have never ventured over to Crab Park during sunset and I finally had a chance on a beautiful warm spring evening after a lot of horrible rainy weather.
I spent an hour wandering around the park before the sun went down. The view from the pier was probably the best place to get all of the city buildings in the frame so I setup there and waited as the sun vanished.
There wasn't much color or cloud cover but it made for a wonderful blue hour. At last all the lights came on in the buildings and I captured this shot.
I'd been wanting to take a shot of this church for several months since moving to Gloucestershire in December 2019. I never considered my XF 35 1.4 able to shoot the church satisfactorily when driving past, so never bothered. Today my XF 16 1.4 arrived and the first thing I did outside was to see how well I could capture the church with a much wider lens. I took a few steps from the road to take this shot, electing to remove the lower part of the church to shift focus to the wooden cross. The 16 is definitely a surprise, rendering subjects in far more various ways than the 35. I hope to keep experimenting with this flexible focal length, especially its relatively close focus distance which yields incredibly sharp images.
Been wanting to take this picture for a long time. I got Phoenix Customs' Endgame Captain America a couple of months ago, and he's without a doubt my favorite minifigure in my collection right now. Preordered this guy back in May or June (can't remember now), and the wait was definitely worth it!
A ton of people have done reviews of this figure on Instagram, but I wanted to pitch in my two cents. First off, the intricately molded helmet is just amazing! Shield is great too, and printing is really crisp. I didn't get a good sense of how fine the torso detailing was until I got it in hand--the scales are really, really tiny and are kinda metallic too! The print on my figure's hands came kinda chipped, so I replaced them with dark brown hands. I think dark brown looks better anyway--although it's not entirely accurate to the source material, the color matches Cap's boots, and I like it.
In my five year quest to get the best Lego Captain America minifigure possible, this definitely fills that spot. I put some of my modified Lego Cap figures on the sides, but they can't really compare haha. What do you guys think about this figure? Comments are very much appreciated! :D
Been wanting to do a League of Extraordinary themed figbarf for a while.
Of course I had to make our favorite Submarine-using science pirate family. The Dakkar/Robur/Nemo Family.
From Left to right:
Jack Dakkar/Captain Nemo III: The present day Captain Nemo and great grandson of the original. A more creative and romantic individual in comparison to his predecessors.
Prince Dakkar/Captain Nemo I:
The famed character from Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues under the sea, and member of the 19th Century League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Janni Dakkar/Captain Nemo II:
The Second Captain Nemo, and possibly the most destructive, Active from the early 20th Century and fighting toe to toe with Mad Immortals, radioactive Saurians and deadly androids.
So there you have it, I was tempted to build Hira Dakkar, who is Janni's Daughter. But she was unfortunately never given the title of Captain Nemo due to her protective mother...

Art is a bunch of people looking at shit and marvelling at the flies that emerge therefrom. Anyone who spends all day shovelling the stuff would tell you that flies are simply a thing that happens.
With thanks to the Wonderful Wozzle of Ezzle for bringing this to my attention in the first place.
And on May day 2023 this comes to my attention
I may have to make another visit to Brick Lane...
Another little update - I'm definitely in the wrong line of business...

Thursday, 5 August 2021: our temperature is 30C (feels like 30C) shortly after 6:00 pm. Sunrise is at 6:04 am, and sunset is at 9:19 pm. Another smoky day from the wildfires in British Columbia, and we are yet again under a Heat Warning.. "The Prairies will deal with lingering heat and poor air quality, but cooler temperatures and fresher air are on the way this weekend." From the Weather Network.
Wednesday, 4 August 2021, was yet another hot, smoky day. I have been wanting to drive SE of the city to call in at a farm to drop off a couple of photos for weeks now, but kept running out of time. This day, I was determined to reach my destination, though the smoke from the British Columbia wildfires was really unpleasant. Travelling south on the highway, it was very tempting to turn around and try on a different day. However, I suspect we might be getting this smoke for the rest of the summer, so I decided I might as well continue my drive. Much of the landscape had disappeared, shrouded in toxic smoke.
There are two barns that I love down in this area, and I took just a few photos of each one before calling in at the farm to give the photos to the lady who owns the smaller of the two barns. We had spoken whilst on the back road near her barn on maybe three of my visits to the area other years and this time, we sat and chatted outside on her porch. It was so enjoyable!
Leaving the area, my drive took me back exactly the way I had come, as there was an old homestead that I had missed on the drive to the farm. Perhaps it had been removed, but I was really hoping that was not the case. I just hadn't been looking in the right place.
This was definitely a barn day, which was my intention, but there were so few birds to be seen. anyway. My drive was quick, as I didn't want to be out for a full day in the heat and smoke, even though I was driving, not walking. I did call in at the Saskatoon Farm on the way home, though. My hopes of buying some nice, fresh fruit and vegetables were dashed, as no fruit was left, bought by earlier visitors. Enjoyed a meal there, so that I wouldn't have to make supper when I got home. I had been hoping to get to the farm for the last few days, but avoided going, as it was a long weekend here. Why would I go on a busy holiday weekend, anyway, when I can go during the week?
Can't wait to see blue sky again, and our beautiful foothills and mountains in the distance. Compared to all those people who live much closer to the wildfires, we are lucky. How I feel for them, having to breathe in all the toxic smoke particles, not to mention the losses that many people are having to deal with.
Been wanting to go here for a very long time. It has been photographed before..yes. But this was shot by me. From Marienbrucke. The best wiev. But you will have to make effort to get there with regards to legexercise..

Anyone wanting to know the details of freight due to pass various locations in Hamburg, Hannover, Bremen and Osnabrück maybe interested in this book.
It provides 112 pages of detailed information and photographs of individual flows as well as timetables for the most popular and busy locations.
It is meant to help everyone know what to expect and identify it once they do see it.
Details on how to buy the book are here:
I've been wanting to update my 2019 Mon Calamari Cruiser Bridge MOC for a while now.
The new layout I adopted is more in line with what we see in the Sequel Trilogy, but also retains some individual elements.
Credit for the idea of the protruding holotable section goes to @kyle.jannin on Instagram, who built a really nice and compact MOC that I saw while building:

As with my previous iteration, I used some self-made custom stickers to add a little more detail to the model.
Been wanting to make this recipe for a long time, just never had the time to make it due to the double rise. I've been making no knead dutch oven style bread instead.
Came out great. Tastes even better. The cast iron bread pan I used was a bit too large for this style bread, but it still worked.
