Day 104 of 365 days.
Whenever I see that smile of yours my heart does a little dance inside. I long for something to happen between us. I wish you would feel that electricity I feel when you're near me. I just want something to begin. Sometimes I find myself daydreaming about all this and I start to feel sad. You're something so amazing. Everyone likes to be around you because of the atmosphere around you. While I'm not like that. I can't make people feel that way. You're too good to me. You're something better than I will ever be and I find myself drowning in my heart. I just want something to begin.
Sorry for my thoughts. I just have a lot of emotions in my heart and thoughts in my brain. Sometimes the best way to let it out is to write it down. Today was pretty good. I had an early release and I found out I get my braces off in a month!! Thank goodness. My day consisted of photo taking, editing, sleeping with my cat, watching Harry Potter, and studying. Now I need to get back to that.

Been wanting a rifle for a while so I finally got around to building this...thing. Not the best representation of a lightweight M4 but it works. Also tweaked the leg midpoint and feet to more accurately follow the standard anthro-dragon design (and have the feet be less of a copy-paste from Alieraah's MOC Endeavor).
I've been wanting to do one of these since I got the camera!
I did have it all centered and straight, but then it went askew when I lifted my head. I think I like it better this way, though. I tend to get too fixated on straight horizons sometimes
It was a bit of a shock to me in my first black/white shots to see the sky just completely white. Takes a little getting used to..

I was up on deer hill wanting to get a shot of sunrise lighting up the Heather (see previous shot) but also behind me was a lovely inversion over Marsden moor. I took a last minute decision to Abandon my shot and take this instead as the sky was amazing with some lovely pastel colours. I got this shot and went back to get my originally planned shot.
I planted these bulbs in mid April with the help of my best friend. Unfortunately, my best friend did not realize that I wanted to keep it's package to remember the name of these exquisite flowers. She threw the package away without my noticing! So now I am needing the help of someone who may recognize this flower to be kind enough to enlighten me on it's name! I am definitely wanting to get more next year, as they are so beautiful and seem to be quite hardy. (the gladiolus bulbs did not do well at all.)
Anyone who could help will be much appreciated! :)
I've been wanting to capture an image like this for a long time, but never had the chance until the first time I camped in Yellowstone a week ago.
Yes, I've been home for a week now, with a HUGE cold (or something): sore throat, phlegmy cough that just won't stop, congested head, stuffy nose, general malaise, absolutely no sense of smell or taste (still suffering through that and it's been a week). I originally thought this was nothing more than a raw throat caused by breathing in a large lungful of sulfur steam at one of the hydrothermal features, but once I got home, that turned out not to be the case.
I'm not surprised, really, because the summer crowds were still there, seeing the sights and doing stupid stuff (more about that in a later post).
Anyway, I didn't really start to feel bad until my last day in Yellowstone, and part of that I attribute to total exhaustion, since it was go-go-go with my cameras from the day I arrived.
Camping was pretty cool, both figuratively and literally. At Grant Campground, it got down into the 20s (Fahrenheit). Nothing I could do would keep me warm. Quite a switch from the 90+ degrees F we have in Central WA.
At one point, just a few minutes before midnight, I awoke to hear the wolves howl. Oh my, what a beautiful, haunting, reverby song that was. It went off and on for about 15 minutes. I fell back asleep to be awakened at about 2:40 a.m by the chorus of coyotes. Their howls and yips are decidedly different from the wolves and easy to tell apart.
So, I got up, lit the tent with my lanterns, set up tripod and camera, and captured some starry, lit-up tent shots.
I used a regular ISO of 250 and a medium-sized aperture with a bit of a lengthy shutter speed. The trick was to try and not blow out the brightly-lit tent but to still capture the starry sky. Turned out better than I thought it would.
I'll try to be better at posting. I have a part-time job, plus the regular housework, plus working on the thousands of photos I captured during this past 8-day trip to Yellowstone.
Here's a piece of advice for you if you are planning to visit this amazing national park: If you go during the summer, make sure you get to whatever spot you wish to see EARLY in the morning. That way, you are assured a parking spot and you'll have the view to yourself for awhile before the crowds begin arriving sometime around 8 a.m.

Under the hood:
Something I've been wanting to do ever since I built the Engine for The Duchess. I had to make a few tweaks and alterations to make sure the engine was integrated better and actually was able to line up the exhausts and wheel placement nicely to match with the full Duchess model.
This does also mean I now have two models of The Duchess: her fully covered version and this exposed version too.
Not wanting to waste my weekend, I loaded up the Jeep and away I went to explore Kentucky. The drive took me to Cascade Caves where I dropped $12 for a short tour two of the caves this area would offer. My iPhone would confirm that I was damn tired by closing all of my rings. About the only down side to this trip was that dreaded drive back home. Scotty... beam me back to Columbus. Well that didn't work.
Fort Drum Wildlife Management Area
Slightly off Main Trail, just before Hog Island
I have been wanting to make a trip back to the Fort Drum WMA since i made my first trip the other day. So today i called up Sarah and i told her that i was planning on heading out that way again and she said she would love to come. So i picked her up and we were on the road by four fifteen, we got to the park at roughly four fifty leaving us about a hour of nice light left.
On the drive into the Park we saw several Hawks and the colors to the sky seemed to be really opening up through the rain clouds we just had received. So we were very excited as the night had just begun and things were already looking up.
So we drove to the Horseshoe Lake parking lot where we were greeted by some Hunters, they said there was not much game activity that they saw besides one little hog but they said that there had been dozens of Hawks and Eagles up ahead on the trail, on the fence line. So we rushed that way but we didnt come across any birds sadly.
We continued forward on the trail and passed another trail continuing to head south. After several minutes of walking we passed by a small body of water with alot of Cypress Tree's and i decided to turn around and head back into there. So we walked through the mucky ground and decided to shoot this great spot, the bugs were not to bad yet but as we started shooting more the bugs became a nightmare but the light had a nice warm tone so i stayed happy. After shooting this spot we continued on our journey forward but decided to turn back about a half mile ahead as it was getting darker and there was a incredible amount of hog trails and little holes all over the place.
So almost back to the parking i said to Sarah who was hating life due to the incredible amount of Mosquito's that had finally came out that we should head a little west off this trail and shoot the Sunset, so she agreed because she basically realized she had no choice. Well right as we go around the fence i hear something moving along the taller grass to my right. My heart started to pound because i knew it was a hog and with my past experience with the guys i was not excited.
So i place my camera bag on the ground and picked up my spotlight, i shined it his way and he didnt seem to care, so i decided to give these cute little creatures a second chance and i walked his way. As i got closer i could see his tusks that were about a inch or so long, so he was still young i am assuming. Well i got roughly ten or so feet from him and he didnt seem to care one second that i was there shining this light on him, he just went on sniffing the ground for something to eat. So i turned around and we headed our different ways.
So now that Sarah has had it with me and me changing the plan slightly she is basically jumping up and down from all the Mosquito's that have decided to eat her so i told her lets just leave. So we head back to the car after another short walk and its about pitch black now. So i decide to go looking for Alligators with the spot light, i came across about three small little guys before i finally got in the car and blasted the ac to get the bugs out.
So we made one more quick stop for me to take a few twilight shots of Lake Cara and then we headed back into town.
Overall it was a great trip and i cant wait to head out there to spend a longer amount of time and hopefully get some shots of the Hawks i managed to miss today as well as the other Wildlife in the Area.

I kept wanting to try Majokko Koron's dress on Little Wolf Koron so here she is! ^^ I'm trying to make time to dress some of my girls for Halloween, hehe... hopefully I can finish them all this weekend!
Oh and also I'm very excited because I found Majokko Chiika 1.1 (the white version) for 12000 yen on Mandarake... here's hoping she is still in stock at the store so that I get her! ^^
I also ordered the Halloween coordinate version of dark-haired Mio but since my local doll shop only gets a shipment about once a month I'm not sure when she will arrive. Mio was going to be my only Halloween gift but... I can't resist Azones at all ^^ Haha
I have been wanting to get a shot like this for quite some time now with some good color in some clouds and some good light on the mountain peaks at the same time. The problem I most often face is that there are only two day per week that this place is not packed with cars in the parking lots and a lot of people walking around the grounds. Anyway, last Monday after work I was watching the sky pretty close to see if the sunset was going to be as good as the last 3-4 nights had been but there were no clouds to the west at all. The only clouds in the sky were to the Northeast above the mountains. So I thought this might be my chance to get the shot I have wanted of the temple. I headed directly there from work and found that I had left both of my tripods in my truck after driving it all weekend and I was back in my car doing the daily commute to and from work. Luckily there's a set of benches straight back from the temple in an almost perfect spot for the shot I wanted. So using the bench to set my camera on I composed my shot and went to let go of the camera and it was way to front heavy, so now the light I wanted is coming and I know I can't get a good shot holding on to my camera I start emptying my pockets to try and find the right combination of things to hold my lens up. I finally resorted to using my eye drop bottle i keep to keep my contacts moist during the day but the only way it would work was standing on end with the very small pointed end up against the camera lens. Needless to say it was not too steady. Anyway after working this image over in Photomatix for the HDR processing, CS5 to remove a car and another photographer shooting a little kid by the fence and LR5 for the final touches this is what I ended up with. I'm still not sure this is the final product I was hoping for. Luckily I only live 6 blocks away and digital pictures are cheap.

I was wanting a freight in the early morning light, but typically, this west bound taconite showed up about 15 minutes too early. Only the mid-train power could be got in sunlight.

The sun finally made an appearance this morning! Which was great as I'd arranged a shoot with my friend Rozzy who I've been wanting to shoot for a while now. So had lots of fun next to this beautiful lake.
Hope everyone is doing well!

This is our 7 year old Siberian Husky. I have been wanting to do this for a while now, and finally got a good shot to do it.
I've been wanting to do a Batman MOC for a while now to in some way pay homage to Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy. This idea came to me while sketching one night; I tried an art deco styled Batman (probably inspired by 1992's Batman: The Animated Series) and really liked the result, so I set off to built it out of LEGO. After a few days' tweaking, this is the result. I'm pretty happy with it.

This is something I've been wanting to do for ages. Build a dune buggy for FebRovery. And finally, I've done it...
...and there's a but, only a small one. Normally, I would have done far more renders, the usual blend of BlueRender and POV-Ray to bring you a juiciest renders I can manage, from 7+ angles. However, we have an issue. Unless my editing has done the job, you may have noticed there's something a little off with the front. This is because that piece on the front, a brilliant a piece and one of my favourite parts of the model, doesn't render properly on POV-Ray. The left stud (as we're looking at it) becomes inverted, and neither of the holes are there. Which is a big issue. I thought I was saved when I noticed there are two versions of the piece (like what happened with the Quattro) but they both do the same thing. So the issue is either I do just Blue render for the rest of the picture, or edit each one, which may make it look a little shoddy. What do you guys want to see? Can you put up with Bluerenders?
Enough ranting, on with the model! As I said, I've always wanted to do a proper buggy for FebRovery. I think it's a perfect marriage of my usual car stuff and Classic Space, and it would be fit for any ET terrain. Pleased with how this one turned out! Been awhile since I visited a 4-wide sort of scale, and I've attempted 4-wide buggies a few times before. It's been longer still since I've made something to fit a minifig (you have to go back to my mediocre real 6-wides on MOCpages). and first time I've done something classic space. I adore the classic space theme great charm and actually real nice colours, certainly for building. Hope I captured it well in this buggy, and I hope it's spacey enough!
Planning on doing something Black Tron too for LUGNuts, thinking maybe some sort of off-road hot rod.
Wanting to a get a full reflection I used a different lighting set up and a longer tray.

Today I meet up with a person from Flickr who lives in New Zealand and we just happened to be at Surfers that same time. We have just had some lunch and now we are wanting to watch the feeding of the Pelicans here at back doors of the Charis Seafood shop. this all happen around 1.30pm except for Mondays.
The Pelicans start arriving hour or so before and wait around for their fed of fish. The fish carcass are tossed into the air, most get one fish and move off but some wait around for some more!.
Wanting to give prefabs another shot, I obviously had to decide on a technique and a ship for the design. I've decided to give the Shtandart a go - round gunports are something that I have not see on a lego ship this far.
Shtandart: forum.game-labs.net/uploads/monthly_04_2016/post-22490-0-...
Single-slab broadside technique by Sebeus I:
Anyone wondering about the masts - those are just temporary, don't worry, I won't use prefab mast parts for it. The headrails are also very much WIP - the lower one needs to be pulled closer and many more things. I am considering adding the second, thinner yellow stripe below this one, but that would very likely be quite difficult to get done without issues around the bow, but I'll see about trying it anyways.
Anyone who is wondering why I'm only going with 10 gunports per broadside - a compromise. This technique is best on 4 midsections according to Sebeus, and 5 midsections wouldn't make this easier - with 5 I would probably end up with 12 gunports per broadside, not any better. I could try rebuilding the entire broadside and squeezing another one in the bow, but I think that would likely look very odd, so I think I'm gonna stay at this.
Edit: As usual, WIP pics land on explore, lol
I've been wanting to convey a photo where you it was as though you were at the bottom, symbolizing whatever it is you were wanting it to symbolize, and how hard it is to get out of it. However, it waivers above your head and your ability to escape is just a bit northward.
